A difficult aroma to put into words. Imagine walking through the damp woods on a brisk fall morning with the falling leaves in all their autumn glory. (Fragrance Oil)
i ordered some samples for the fall season and Autumn Glory was one. This lathers well but the scent was not great--rotting leaves and dirt maybe? Anyway, I am now am onto my sample of Stirling Spice and like that scent much better and the lather, I feel, is even better. TJ on 8th Dec 2016
This scent is hard to describe, but the description is accutate; it is very much a morning-walk-through-the-woods scent. Woodsy and spicy, bit with a touch of citronella and damp leaves. Absolutely wonderful and well-balanced seasonal.
As always, the lather is top-tier. Stirling always nails it. J.D. on 1st Nov 2016
This is a great soap and has a great lasting masculine scent, the woods never smelt so refreshing. My favorite and I recommend it to all my fellow wet shavers. The After shave and balm are also my favorite. Unknown on 28th Oct 2016
The first time I ordered Sterling shaving soap, I held a low opinion of it, or suspected my water might be too hard. If it doesn't seem to want to lather, I highly recommend loading a bit more, using a touch more water than you think you need, and lathering much more vigorously, a little like you're trying to whisk up cream. Once you do that, you'll have a great volume of excellent lather, I personally use it on both my face and my head. The Autumn Glory smell is fantastic, and should suit anybody who likes crisp or spicy smells. Unknown on 6th Oct 2016
This is exactly what autumn should smells like to me. Colorful leaves, a cool breeze, with a hint of spice. Frank on 26th Sep 2016
Great feel and lather, wonderful smelling product that has a woodsy, smoky, upper class sent. it reminds me of the Creed Aventus, very nice slickness and the lather never falls or dry's on the skin before you shave. Mike Fischer on 6th Jan 2016
As with all Stirling products, great performance, great lather, and huge bang for your buck. Scent is very hard to describe but it was quite inviting and warm. Can Stirling do anything wrong? Snorlax on 11th Dec 2015
Thus was my first experience with a Stirling soap and it has been fantastic. It's not my most favorite scent, but the performance is second to none. Will be buying many more in the future. Adam on 5th Dec 2015
I have no idea how to explain this scent. When I received my samples, it wasn't one that immediately stood out and was the last one of the 6 that I tried it is one of my absolute favorites. It is fresh and clean but still earthy. I swear I smell a hint of pine tar. Whatever it is, it just works and the soap has a nice, pleasant, calming scent that is a home run for me. Performance is exceptional which I expect from everything with a Stirling label on it. Will on 12th Nov 2015
Damp forest smell. Like unzipping a tent by a slow kindling fire in the autumn morning. Another homerun. Great lather and protection like always. justin on 9th Nov 2015
Enjoyable sent will keep in my rotation, Bay Rum still my Favorite GD on 31st Oct 2015
This is such an amazing scent! The smell of dew on fallen leaves is such an amazing journey back to my childhood. This is my third order of Autumn Glory and I will order again! Love the Stirling soaps! So slick and leaves my skin so soft! Unknown on 20th Oct 2015
We all know Stirling makes quality shave soaps. I'm definitely not calling that into question. I did a test lather on my hand, and as expected, great quality. That said, the smell was so overwhelming and unpleasant, i couldn't bring myself to get in a face shave with it. It smelled a bit like a musky Off! insect repellant. It might be for some, but it's not for me.
The owner also threw in a sample of their pumpkin spice shave soap, which was very nice of them. That one smelled a bit better. bill on 15th Oct 2015
I ended up purchasing this soap because I wanted something that would smell similar to what you get when you walk into the woods in the middle of autumn. This soap nailed it for me and it smells very good. I asked my brother to smell it before telling it what it was and he guessed it right! "Smells like leaves in the woods". I purchased the after shave balm with this and it goes along great with the same scent. The scent does last a few hours only which is a bummer. After an 8 hour shift I can barely smell the scent but other than that I think this was a great buy. Definitely like it better than the Pumpkin Spice sample puck I received when buying this soap. This is the first Stirling product I was dissapointed in. To me it smeels artficial and synthetic and very "cologney", like n 80's powerhouse cologne scent.Perhaps it's my part of the country but I got absolutely zero autumn feel from this. I love every product I've got from Stirling but this is a no go for me. I also purchased the Aftershave (with menthol) and it matched this exactly which would be good if you like this type of scent but otherwiseit was 0 for 2 with me.
initially I used the AS after a differnt Stirling soap and went out to run some errands and it was all I could smell, when I got home I washed it off. A few days later I gave the soap a try thinking it would be more subtle but I only got as far as lathering up and then washed it off. I'm sure it performs great as any other Stirling soap but it came down to a disagreeable scent to me and only the scent (The AS had good face feel). Unknown on 11th Oct 2015
The scent is exceptional and lingers on my skin long after the shave. It speaks the language of Autumn perfectly. As with ALL Stirling soaps, the performance is incredible. The post shave skin feel is soft like velvet and feels moisturized. After the first time I used this soap my girlfriend remarked, "THAT SOAP IS A KEEPER!" Greg on 6th Oct 2015
As always, Stirling puts out a product which in my opinion is as good as anybody's regardless of price. The scent is amazing, the lather is thick and rich & the price is ridiculously cheap. A must have! Nelson Natal on 29th Sep 2015
A lazy Sunday here in my neck of the woods. It's one of the first days of the year that's feeling distinctly Autumnal. As such I figured today would a good one to whip up some Autumn Glory that came with my most recent Stirling foray. Wow! This stuff fits the mood of the season with aplomb. It puts me in the mood for a bonfire party fueled by hard cider and BBQ. d selgy on 27th Sep 2015
I was skeptical at first because its kind of hard to capture the smell of autumn leaves and woods. But I figured that since Stirling soaps are so good, they may have pulled it off. I ordered a sample puck, and they did!!
It smells like a walk in the woods on a cool damp autumn day with the leaves turning and falling. I noticed there is also a base note of spice, pepper and apples. One of my Favorite seasonal scents so far. I ordered a big puck. Can't wait to try the pumpkin spice and hot apple cider!! Robert on 15th Sep 2015
