Our take on the classic Bay Rum scent. Bay West Indies (Pimenta Racemosa) essential oil is blended with Orange, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and a hint of Clove to provide a very complex and masculine aroma. (Essential Oil)

Perhaps it's just my peculiar chemistry, or maybe it's the combination of cinnamon and menthol, but using this aftershave splash feels like setting my face on fire and then dousing it with ice cold water. The splash quickly settles down and leaves my skin feeling and smelling great. I've tried at least a dozen brands of Bay Rum aftershave over the past several years, and Stirling's is easily my favorite. Mark on 2nd Aug 2017
Bay rum is nice! To me I get a lot of orange/clove smell to it and wow what a burn! I like to apply it in the morning when I need a nice wake me up feel on a cold day. The burn doesn't last long but you get a nice warming feel from it for quite some time. Reminds me of drinking a orange flavored cocktail on the carribean islands. Great scent a nice post shave feel for sure! Frank V on 17th Feb 2017
Bay Rum burns. And this one is no different. The burn is not as searing as another brand that I have used but it's definitely not your average skin bracing burn delivered by drugstore aftershaves.
The burn settles down eventually leaving your skin feeling super soft and smooth. Of all the bay rum aftershaves I've tried, the Stirling bay rum leaves my skin feeling the best.
The scent is classic bay rum. Easier on the clove than some other brands. I pick up stronger orange zest. The Stirling Bay Rum is a nice classic, masculine scent. BJ on 17th Jan 2017
Scent is heavily on the clove side the first couple of uses then seems to open up to a great bay scent, It has a bun when first applied but quickly cools and mellows leaving your face soft and smooth. If you like the scent of Bay Rum, this is a winner. Just allow a couple of applications and time for the scent to balance out with the base notes. Glen on 20th Dec 2016
Well balanced bay rum, oranges, little hint of cloves, bay leaves. Smells like I am in a tropical island sipping a glass of orange juice while watching the sun set. Burns initially, but calms down and leaves your face feeling very good. Scent has great longevity as well. I love how simple the ingredients are in this product and yet so effective. Like the soap the scent to me is very balanced. Right where a bay rum should be. The burn is pretty hot at first but it calms down very fast. Thomas on 1st Mar 2016
I ordered this with as a sample with some other scents. While I really enjoyed the scent of this aftershave the product really lit my face on fire. Maybe it was a one-off batch that missed the mark on ingredients ratios or who knows what, but it provided a long lasting burn and left my face a bit red for 20 minutes or so. I thought maybe I just didn't do a good job shaving and tried again a few days later, same result. I really enjoyed the scent so I wanted this one to work out, so after I got home from work I took a shower and hadn't shaved for 36 hours and tried it again, same result face on fire and redness. Too bad, I really like the scent but had to toss this one. I have really enjoyed the 3 other samples I've tried rmikevt on 13th Oct 2015
I am a little obsessed with Bay Rum scent. I have an embarrassing number of soaps, creams, and after-shaves in the scent. This is one of the very best. Some Bay Rum scents stray from the bay leaf scent and add lots of other scents that hide the bay underneath. This is one of the Bay Rums that has that perfect combination of clove and other spicey oils that adds to but doesn't take away from the Bay. Ogalalla and Captains Choice are the other two that get it "right" in my opinion.
As far as how it performs; excellent! You get a great toned-skin feeling after using. The scent stays for a few hours before fading to the point I don't notice it anymore. Mattsplat on 4th Aug 2015
I am relatively new to the wet shave revolution (thinking of opening a brick and mortar shave supply store in my area actually) I am in love with Bay Rum. This is a wonderful scent. Yes, it does burn. I rinse with hot water, then cold water, use an alum block, cold rinse and then apply this. It still burns like crazy. This may sound weird, but it burns in a good way. It doesn't last long. It is super refreshing. I combine with the post shave balm and it immediately soothes. With the combination of the two I smell like bay rum all day. The product itself is great, as are all of the Stirling aftershaves. The scent didn't work for me, smelled a bit too much like cloves, or maybe bay leaves, but whatever it was just didn't work for me. Unknown on 11th May 2015
I love bay rum scents and this is a great one. I also get an orange peel scent for a minute while I apply it but goes away soon after. I've tried other Stirling aftershave splashes and this one BURNS the most. I only wish the scent lasted longer into the day! If you love Bay Rum scents, I highly recommend this product. The burning does not last a long period of time, it will wake you up and then leave your face feeling great! Joe on 25th Feb 2015
Bay Rum is one of my favorite scents, and this is a good one. It's very spicy, and also has a hint of orange peel (maybe?). The scent is strong and lasts long. As with all of Stirling's after shave splashes, this soothes and moisturizes with the best of them. I highly recommend it! Rick on 16th Dec 2014
