Our take on the classic Bay Rum scent. Bay West Indies (Pimenta Racemosa) essential oil is blended with Orange, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and a hint of Clove to provide a very complex and masculine aroma. (Essential Oil)

    1. So good

This soap smells so good. So good in fact that I ordered the body butter as fast as I could after my first time using it. I am a fan of Bay Rum products and this one really hits the mark. It is very balanced. All the classic notes of a great bay rum are present and discernible. I have been using it on a Dove Men Care sponge and it lathers beautifully. My skin feels great after a shower. This is a BIG bar of soap not a little fu fu bar so the price is more than fair. I am very happy with this purchase and will be back for more. Thank you. on 10th Feb 2017

    2. Absolute Best. Hands Down.

Stirling's Bay Rum bath soap is truly an artisan soap that's intended to be used every day. The scent is incredibly clean with a sturdy backbone of Clove essential oil. It's blended perfectly with refreshing orange and nutmeg tones. This is the new standard for Bay Rum, hands down. It's not a cheap synthetic imitation. In fact, I've even found it's an excellent replacement for my old "name brand" shampoo & conditioner. My wife even commented on the softness and shine of my hair. Not to mention, I have zero dandruff! Anyways, Stirling Bath Soaps are now my standard for scent, quality and price. Well done. on 22nd Dec 2016

    4. Great lather and scent

I started using Stirling soaps because I have mild eczema and my skin tends to dry out. These products are the answer I needed. Every Stirling soap I've used has lathered up wonderfully and kept my skin from drying. Bay Rum is probably my favorite scent. For the price you likely won't find any better soaps out there. on 14th Oct 2016

    5. new favorite bath soap

I've tried 4 or 5 sample bars of Stirling bath soap but the bay rum is my first purchase a of a full size bar and what can I say, it's amazing! I will never go back to store bought soaps because none of them can compete with Stirling and if you love the bay rum shave soap you should definitely get the bath soap to match! on 24th Aug 2016

    6. bayrum soap

Great bayrum(clove spice smell) lathers well does a good job cleaning. Very refreshing to use. Smell is the same and complements the bayrum shave soap. on 5th Aug 2016

    7. Another bar soap hit from Stirling

If you guys like the Bay Rum shaving soap, I recommend you try this as it matches the scent and scent strength perfectly. Very spicy manly Bay Rum scent, one of my favorites in artisan products and it is STOUT. Further, this soap produces a fantastic creamy, moisturizing lather that keeps my very dry skin from flaking. This is a must try for Bay Rum fans and its a great great value at its price point and size. on 1st Jul 2016

    8. Classic Scent Masterfully Crafted In A Bath Soap

I love Stirling's rendition of the classic Bay Rum scent. This soap captures the scent perfectly and lathers like a dream. Every order I make includes at least one of these bars of soap! on 17th Jun 2016

    9. Great Soap

I love the smell of this soap and the clean feeling I get when I use it on 26th May 2016

    10. Great Soap, Good Fragrance

This is a Stirling bath soap, so of course it produces a rich, creamy lather (even in hard water) and leaves your skin clean and soft. The fragrance, while perfectly pleasant, isn't quite what I had hoped it would be. Although made with Pimenta Racemosa essential oil, the dominant note is cinnamon. It's more Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum than (for example) Dominca Bay Rum. Still, a very nice soap. on 25th Apr 2016

    11. Fantastic Soap with Great Bay Rum smell

I got some of the Bay Rum Bath and shaving soap and I have to say the clove forward smell is fantastic and the soap is great and long lasting. One of my favorite things though is how it perfumes the bathroom with the bay rum scent. All in all a great product at a fantastic price. on 9th Apr 2016

    12. Best Bay Rum Scent - Excellent Soap

Quality: This is a very high quality bar of soap. Perfectly smooth and even throughout. Produces just the right amount of lather in the shower (or bath). As it is a tallow based soap, it will leave you "squeaky" clean. I know that some people don't like that type of after shower feel, so be advised. Personally, my skin reacts that way to just about any soap. I can't wait to try the Bay Rum body cream that is (hopefully) coming soon.

Scent strength: These have a nice strong scent, but not overpowering. The scent will not linger more than hour or so, but it's soap, not cologne. A bar of soap tends to last me 2-3 weeks, and by that time the scent is still quite pronounced, but not as strong as when first opened.

Scent: This is totally subjective. Some people like the smell of things that other people do not. For instance, my best friend's FAVORITE smell in the world is...SKUNK. Dead serious. Anyway, Bay Rum is my favorite scent. It is complex and varied depending on where you get it. The Bay Rum scent by Stirling is my most preferred. It is spicy and rich. As the scent wears off, the clove and the cinnamon notes are the last to linger.

    13. A solid performing product

I like this scent. It is a bit heavier on the orange to my nose versus other Bay Rums which tend to be heavier on the cinnamon or clove. I have moderately hard water, but by using a shower gel "puff" I get a solid lather. The bar seems to go a long way and the soap itself does not dry out my skin like the harsher shower gels with detergents do, especially in winter. So far this and the Barbershop scents are my favorites. on 27th Dec 2015

    14. Good Bay Rum Bath Bar

A nice smelling bath bar. Good bay rum scent not overpowering but refreshing with a great lather. Will purchase again. on 31st Oct 2015

    15. Good Bay Rum body bar

If you're looking for a bath bar to compliment the Stirling or really almost any other Bay Rum shaving soap/aftershave then this is a nice choice. My only complaint is that the scent did not seem to linger for very long hence the 4 stars instead of 5. on 14th Aug 2015

    16. My standby

I really like Stirling's bay rum scent, but unfortunately the shave soap stings my face. The bath soap is awesome, though, and is my standby for a great shower. on 14th May 2015

    17. SubDUDE Masculinity

To preface, I am a bay rum snob, and have a bit of an OCD compulsion with collecting all things Bay Rum...I have been using SSC Bay Rum pre-shave oil for some time now (only one I'll use) and wanted to try the soap. I bought three bars; because hey, at that price point why not. I like the lather and the squeaky clean feeling you get. However, scent is a bit subdued. All said, I give the soap high marks, and it is a great addition to a Bay Rum bathing/shaving regiment. on 23rd Apr 2015

    18. Give it a shot!!

I saw different reviews of the bay rum smell from different makers on the internet and wanted to give it a shot myself! At first, the smell was difficult for me to get but after I continued to use it, I fell in love! I have ordered the bath soap, shave soap, after shave and shave balm in this smell because I like it so much! on 16th Mar 2015

    19. still smell like this soap at the end of the day

Lathers up great and gets the whole bathroom smelling great, wife says I come home still smelling like the stuff:) on 10th Feb 2015

    20. Good, hard water doesn't agree.

I love the scent. A good Bay Rum is always good. The problem is that I have hard water, so the soap dries out my skin more than liquid soap. on 24th Dec 2014
