Our take on the classic Bay Rum scent. Bay West Indies (Pimenta Racemosa) essential oil is blended with Orange, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and a hint of Clove to provide a very complex and masculine aroma. (Essential Oil)
This soap is very well made. It cleans and foams up perfectly. I would have given it 5 stars but I feel it has a little to much "orange" smell. Unknown on 4th Aug 2017
A classic scent that lasts several hours, my wife likes the smell a lot. Unknown on 5th Jun 2017
Rich lather and the crisp, clean, masculine scent of bay rum. Mark on 20th May 2017
Been using this for a couple months now and it's ALL I use now. I'm absolutely hooked on the Bay Rum scent from Sterling. Scent aside though, this soap is just plain good soap in it's own right. Nice lather, long lasting and, the thing I like best of all is it rinses clean away without leaving any lotiony (is that a word?) residue. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Bay Rum is my fave from Stirling. Great lather and great old school scent! Dale on 2nd May 2017
On my first purchase i was sent a sample of this soap and I loved it so much i bought a full bar of it.
I love this scent and it is one of my favorites. Excellent quality.soap strong scent and a keeper for me. Marty B. on 12th Apr 2017
I ordered one to go with my shave soap and now I can't get enough. Just received another three last week. Smell is amazing!! Great job guys!! James Bonadies on 7th Mar 2017
This soap smells so good. So good in fact that I ordered the body butter as fast as I could after my first time using it. I am a fan of Bay Rum products and this one really hits the mark. It is very balanced. All the classic notes of a great bay rum are present and discernible. I have been using it on a Dove Men Care sponge and it lathers beautifully. My skin feels great after a shower. This is a BIG bar of soap not a little fu fu bar so the price is more than fair. I am very happy with this purchase and will be back for more. Thank you. Stirling's Bay Rum bath soap is truly an artisan soap that's intended to be used every day. The scent is incredibly clean with a sturdy backbone of Clove essential oil. It's blended perfectly with refreshing orange and nutmeg tones. This is the new standard for Bay Rum, hands down. It's not a cheap synthetic imitation. In fact, I've even found it's an excellent replacement for my old "name brand" shampoo & conditioner. My wife even commented on the softness and shine of my hair. Not to mention, I have zero dandruff! Anyways, Stirling Bath Soaps are now my standard for scent, quality and price. Well done. Mike on 22nd Dec 2016
The scent and feel of this soap is magnificent !!
My new favorite.

I started using Stirling soaps because I have mild eczema and my skin tends to dry out. These products are the answer I needed. Every Stirling soap I've used has lathered up wonderfully and kept my skin from drying. Bay Rum is probably my favorite scent. For the price you likely won't find any better soaps out there. I've tried 4 or 5 sample bars of Stirling bath soap but the bay rum is my first purchase a of a full size bar and what can I say, it's amazing! I will never go back to store bought soaps because none of them can compete with Stirling and if you love the bay rum shave soap you should definitely get the bath soap to match! Tuckman on 24th Aug 2016
Great bayrum(clove spice smell) lathers well does a good job cleaning. Very refreshing to use. Smell is the same and complements the bayrum shave soap. George Hutman on 5th Aug 2016
If you guys like the Bay Rum shaving soap, I recommend you try this as it matches the scent and scent strength perfectly. Very spicy manly Bay Rum scent, one of my favorites in artisan products and it is STOUT. Further, this soap produces a fantastic creamy, moisturizing lather that keeps my very dry skin from flaking. This is a must try for Bay Rum fans and its a great great value at its price point and size. Mark Craven on 1st Jul 2016
I love Stirling's rendition of the classic Bay Rum scent. This soap captures the scent perfectly and lathers like a dream. Every order I make includes at least one of these bars of soap! Davey on 17th Jun 2016
I love the smell of this soap and the clean feeling I get when I use it Unknown on 26th May 2016
This is a Stirling bath soap, so of course it produces a rich, creamy lather (even in hard water) and leaves your skin clean and soft. The fragrance, while perfectly pleasant, isn't quite what I had hoped it would be. Although made with Pimenta Racemosa essential oil, the dominant note is cinnamon. It's more Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum than (for example) Dominca Bay Rum. Still, a very nice soap. Mark on 25th Apr 2016
I got some of the Bay Rum Bath and shaving soap and I have to say the clove forward smell is fantastic and the soap is great and long lasting. One of my favorite things though is how it perfumes the bathroom with the bay rum scent. All in all a great product at a fantastic price. Samuel on 9th Apr 2016
Quality: This is a very high quality bar of soap. Perfectly smooth and even throughout. Produces just the right amount of lather in the shower (or bath). As it is a tallow based soap, it will leave you "squeaky" clean. I know that some people don't like that type of after shower feel, so be advised. Personally, my skin reacts that way to just about any soap. I can't wait to try the Bay Rum body cream that is (hopefully) coming soon.
Scent strength: These have a nice strong scent, but not overpowering. The scent will not linger more than hour or so, but it's soap, not cologne. A bar of soap tends to last me 2-3 weeks, and by that time the scent is still quite pronounced, but not as strong as when first opened.
Scent: This is totally subjective. Some people like the smell of things that other people do not. For instance, my best friend's FAVORITE smell in the world is...SKUNK. Dead serious. Anyway, Bay Rum is my favorite scent. It is complex and varied depending on where you get it. The Bay Rum scent by Stirling is my most preferred. It is spicy and rich. As the scent wears off, the clove and the cinnamon notes are the last to linger. Jay Lundgreen on 9th Mar 2016
I like this scent. It is a bit heavier on the orange to my nose versus other Bay Rums which tend to be heavier on the cinnamon or clove. I have moderately hard water, but by using a shower gel "puff" I get a solid lather. The bar seems to go a long way and the soap itself does not dry out my skin like the harsher shower gels with detergents do, especially in winter. So far this and the Barbershop scents are my favorites. Robert on 27th Dec 2015
