We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this finest grade badger brush after nearly a year of testing different companies, handles, lofts and knot densities. It's dense, but not so dense that it won't give up the lather. It has backbone, but not so much backbone that it's unpleasant. This brush hits my sweet spot on every measure. The tips on this brush are far above the price range, and the brush just lathers like a champ.

    1. My BEST brush!

I have several brushes (boar, badger and synthetic). The synthetic brushes are nice, but don't hold much water. My favorite brush used to be my Semogue 830 (soft, nice splay, makes great lather). This Stirling brush has the perfect amount of backbone with soft tips. I can build a perfect lather in a minimal amount of time due to the water retention properties of this brush. A great, great, great brush at this price point! Like all Stirling products, great product at a fair price! on 17th Mar 2017

    2. This is a Great Brush.

This brush is now my go to brush. It feels very comfortable on my face, creates a very nice lather and retains heat and water nicely. Admittedly, I don't have a $300.00 Simpson or Kent to compare it with, but I can't imagine how much better those could possibly be to be worth the price. I do use Parker and Edwin Jagger and like the Stirling a little better. If your just a regular guy and want a great brush at a bargain price, this is the one. on 20th Jan 2017

    3. Don't miss out

This is a beautifully made finest badger silver tip shaving brush in both form and function. This is a high quality silver tip and it's highly unlikely you'll find a better deal if you like badger brushes. Don't miss out on this. on 13th Dec 2016

    4. Good brush for a great price

The badger came a little funky to start - which is to be expected of a badger brush at this price point. After lathering for a week straight while using my other brush the funk was gone and it was ready for use. The brush is a pleasure to use everyday. with soft soaps, hard soaps, and creams. My wife especially loves it for shaving her legs. I recommend this to everybody looking for an introductory badger brush. It far outperforms the 35 dollar price tag. on 22nd Nov 2016

    5. The best value for a quality 2-band badger brush, period!

I have a few badger brushes, and the 24mm finest by Stirling is by far one of my go to brushes. I will grab this brush before a Simpson, and just as often as my custom brushes. The tips are nice and soft, yet it has plenty of backbone to it. It deals well with creams, hard soaps and croaps alike, whipping up a nice luxurious lather. It can be a little bit of a lather hog due to the density of the bristles, but with a little work, will still release the lather just fine. People have complained about the funk of the hair...but if you wash and condition the hairs when you first get it, the funk goes away pretty quickly. Get one, you won't be disappointed!

*I'm not sure what star rating I chose, as it wouldn't let me see them, just that they were there...but it gets five stars, by far!

    6. Nice brush

Got new 26x58 mm brush yesterday.Nice box and wrapped rather well. Shampooed brush immediately let set overnight. I did not notice any badger funk smell as others had commented on. The brush was a little stiffer than my other badger brush and took a little longer to load but did create a ton of lather for a three pass shave. It is soft on the face. on 5th Nov 2016

    7. Amazing

I was a bit sceptical at first, but once I received my brush I understood what everyone was raving about. It's extremely soft with great backbone.

Highly recommend getting one for yourself. This is the one people!

    8. Good Brush, Great Price, Phenomenal Bargain!

When this brush was advertised, it immediately caught my eye . Frankly it seemed absurd that the product advertised as a Finest Badger 24 inch shaving brush would be available for $34.95. As someone who has been wet shaving since the early 80's I know what brushes with those specifications and hair type cost. In truth I needed another shaving brush like a hole in my head yet this was "stuck in my craw" as it were. As the owner of 15+ Artisan brushes with names such as Rooney, Morris and Forndran, Simpsons, Vie Long, and Semogue I had no reason for another. Yet I was so intrigued by the listing and the price I had to purchase one and try it out (unbeknownst to my wife, naturally). I sure am glad I did! This brush has a perfect knot size, nice soft tips with just the right amount of "scritch", holds quite a bit of water, and performs equally well with hard soaps, croaps, and creams. Frankly, had I run into this brush a few years ago it may have saved myself some scratch. Nonetheless I am happy to have one. Great product, Stirling! on 16th Oct 2016

    9. Fantastic Badger Brush

This brush is a soft pillow of hair, retains water and heat nice, but does hog some of that great Stirling soap... on 6th Oct 2016

    10. Terrific, especially for the cost!

This brush is great and is on par with, if not better than my more expensive badger brushes! Nice soft tips, good density, and decent backbone for only $40 is a steal! The only thing is that my brush came with quite a bit of funk to it, which took maybe a week to get it down to being barely noticeable and I expect it to be completely gone soon. It also shed a bit in the beginning, which is normal for a lot of natural hair brushes when they break in - loose hairs finally being set free. Combing prior to use may prove to be useful. on 23rd Sep 2016

    11. Very nice brush!

Really thick, and it has some backbone to it while still being soft. I switched from some cheap "badger" brush I bought from Amazon to this brush, and lathering went from being "meh" to having my face caressed by angels. Definitely worth the price, even more so if you can catch it on sale! on 23rd Sep 2016

    12. "Finest" of available Badger Brushes

This is easily one of the best and highest quality badger brushes I've used, and I've used many in my day. The craftsmenship is second to none and the lather it makes is even better. Word of warning, this is animal hair and it does have that "wet animal hair" smell to it during the first couple of uses. This is to be expected and the smell will fade once the brush is broken in after a couple weeks of consistent use. This brush is highly recommended and it's hard to believe that it only cost me $40. on 23rd Sep 2016

    13. What a Brush!!!

I have to say this brush has gone above and beyond on what I thought a brush could do! Since I've gotten this brush, it's become my number one brush to use during a shave.

This brush has some backbone to it and loads and lathers the soap very well. It's not harsh and scratchy as some of the other badger brushes I've used.

As some have said there is a little animal smell when wetting the brush, but after a couple of shaves(maybe a week or so) the animal smell dissipates. I did load some strong smelling soap on the brush to let it soak in over night to help the process.

If you are on the fence about buying the brush, don't give it a second thought! Buy this wonderful brush as it's a heck of a deal!

    14. How Much Was This Brush?

This brush has far exceeded my expectations. Luxury performance without the luxury price tag. Buy this brush and you will be pleasantly surprised. Its very dense with excellent backbone. Stirling Soaps Co. has let the genie out of the bottle again!! And I paid......what??
      Just buy it!!

    15. the FINEST brush

After starting out as a new wet shaver months prior to learning of Stirling Soap Co., I had seen this brush on sale and decided to go with it. I am glad to say I have never looked back and this brush is with out a doubt, my absolute go-to brush. This Finest Badger brush is a workhorse on soap, firm or soft. The brush builds lather with ease and when you go straight into a face lather or bowl lather, the hair is pillow soft and lays down a foundation of slickness that your face needs for an amazing shave. Like any badger or boar hair brush there is a break-in period and since then, my particular brush has acquired some wonderful hooked tips and amazing split-ends that furthermore add to a softer face lather experience.
All-in-all this brush has been a staple in my shave den and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. In my opinion, if you're looking for a solid brush at an amazing price that you won't find anywhere else, you've found the right one.

    16. Top quality, bottom price

I'm a happy European customer for quit a while now.
Only one con, the animal smell, but after 2 weeks it's gone. Everything else is good.Normaly I use synthetic brushes for bowl lathering and badger brushes for face lathering. I own 9 badger brushes, most of them 100+ dollars. Compared to Simpson best badger brushes this brush is on the same level accept for the price. 30 dollars for such a qualty brush is a steal. Buy it!!!

    17. Fantastic Badger Brush

You can't beat this brush for the money. Soft, dense, and pillow soft on the face. Releases the soap just fine, doesn't hog it like some. I would definitely recommend purchasing. on 27th Jul 2016

    18. Fantastic Brush

First off I'd like to say that I'm a synthetic guy. I'm very fond of the Plisson-style fibers and my daily drivers have been the Shave Revolution 24mm Sythetic and the Stirling Kong 26mm. However, for a while now I've been wanting to try out a badger brush and pulled the trigger on the Stirling 24mm 2 band finest. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it, but wow, this thing is nice and the value is apparent. This brush is really dense and high quality. The handle is really nice too. on 22nd Jul 2016

    19. A Fine upgrade!!

When I started wetshaving about 8 years ago I bought the cheap Tweezerman brush from amazon. It worked well enough, but recently I've felt it was time to upgrade. After ordering my first few soaps from Stirling I was so happy with them I knew this brush would be great, and I was not disappointed at all! Very soft quality badger bristles, solid heavy handle, and an amazing dense knot that holds so much creamy lather I always have plenty left over. My only problem was the animal smell (which is to be expected, it's animal hair after all) which was easily addressed with some Dawn, hot water, and leaving lather in the brush overnight before rinsing. After a few days it smells fine.

Don't hesitate, this is an awesome brush for $30!!

    20. Only Brush I need

What others have said is spot on. I didn't have good experiences with badger brushes, so I was some what hesitant to try this brush. I'm glad I did. This brush blew my mind.
I mainly use synthetic brushes, but I now use this brush more than my synthetics.
I now use this brush a lot more than my synthetics. I kinda want to buy another one, just to have it as a back-up.
For some reason, I haven't bought a new brush since I started using this one. .

      What I like
      - Very soft. No scratchy feel.
      - Very cushion-y, pillow-y feel.
      - Densely packed.
      - Whips up nice lathers.

Only thing I didn't like was the animal funk.
