We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this finest grade badger brush after nearly a year of testing different companies, handles, lofts and knot densities. It's dense, but not so dense that it won't give up the lather. It has backbone, but not so much backbone that it's unpleasant. This brush hits my sweet spot on every measure. The tips on this brush are far above the price range, and the brush just lathers like a champ.

I bought this for a friends birthday along with a Portland Razor Company custom. He liked the brush and found it to produce a fine lather of both Stirling Soap Co Texas on Fire and also "de vergulde hand(the gilded hand)".
Nothing to say really, exactly what is should have been. James on 4th Oct 2017
This is a great budget brush that really seems to punch above it's weight. This brush is able to compete with other badger brushes that cost twice as much.
I am still working through the break in period but the funky badger smell disappeared after about 6 shaves. I am still working on getting the perfect lather, this doesn't seem to hold as much water as my other brushes. I have no doubt this will become one of my favorite brushes, all the components that you would look for in a good brush are there. Jacob on 8th Aug 2017
I purchased this brush a while back and today was the first I have used it and I wasn't disappointed, I am new to wet shaving and have acquired 5 brushes to date, this is the best and most expensive brush I have, I used it today with my Stirling Mountain man soap, it performed fantastic, very soft, nice backbone, loads up nicely, as with all the products I have purchased from Stirling it is fantastic. bobu on 2nd Aug 2017
I have a couple of badger hair brushes and this brush performs side by side with ones costing twice as much. All brushes need a break in process, I did my normal routine and the "funk" was gone in just a few shaves. It seems to need a little more water than my other brushes, but that is not a big deal. The handle is nice, I have large hands and it is not hard to handle. ThomasR. on 23rd Jul 2017
Absolutely fantastic brush! It is unbelievable, this two-band badger brush, plus two others from Stirling, all three are now part of my top five shaving brushes. What can I say more? Outstanding value for money. You will not find this quality at this price anywhere else. Congratulations to Stirling. Do not hesitate. If you can, indulge yourself and get one. Patrick E. on 22nd Jul 2017
This seems like a very nice brush. It is breaking in nicely with no residual odor and excellent face feel. This is the second brush I have purchased from Stirling, the other being the fan knot which I also enjoy. Jack bryner on 20th Jul 2017
Ok, not an expert on brushes by any means... but I really like this brush.
My first brush was a Van Der Hagen from Walmart if that is any indication of what I have to compare to... It worked just fine or so I thought until I got the bush from Sterling. This thing has twice the hairs of my old one. It holds heat a lot better and is stiffer in the base, not to mention just a lot fuller and larger yet the tips are comfortably soft. It does soak up more water and soap but I suppose that is part of the design. I don't have to go back to my shaving bowl multiple times like with the thinner brush. The handle is very solid with a nice weight to it. As far as I can tell, it never lost a hair where my first one did initially. My first one also had the knot fall out after about a month of use and I had to epoxy it back in. The Sterling brush had no such issues and you can feel the quality construction. I say get one, you won't likely be disappointed and more than likely will REALLY like it. Unknown on 18th May 2017
If you're on the fence, hop over it and pull the trigger. Absolutely outstanding brush. I've been wetshaving for 10+ years, own a number of brushes and this one is my new go to. This brush is hard to beat, awesome knot! Great brush Stirling! Unknown on 17th May 2017
I used a boar brush for almost two years until trying this. I'm blown away with how soft it is. Making lather is effortless. Can't go wrong. Benjamin on 11th May 2017
I have several brushes (boar, badger and synthetic). The synthetic brushes are nice, but don't hold much water. My favorite brush used to be my Semogue 830 (soft, nice splay, makes great lather). This Stirling brush has the perfect amount of backbone with soft tips. I can build a perfect lather in a minimal amount of time due to the water retention properties of this brush. A great, great, great brush at this price point! Like all Stirling products, great product at a fair price! Steve on 17th Mar 2017
This brush is now my go to brush. It feels very comfortable on my face, creates a very nice lather and retains heat and water nicely. Admittedly, I don't have a $300.00 Simpson or Kent to compare it with, but I can't imagine how much better those could possibly be to be worth the price. I do use Parker and Edwin Jagger and like the Stirling a little better. If your just a regular guy and want a great brush at a bargain price, this is the one. David on 20th Jan 2017
This is a beautifully made finest badger silver tip shaving brush in both form and function. This is a high quality silver tip and it's highly unlikely you'll find a better deal if you like badger brushes. Don't miss out on this. William Bettis on 13th Dec 2016
The badger came a little funky to start - which is to be expected of a badger brush at this price point. After lathering for a week straight while using my other brush the funk was gone and it was ready for use. The brush is a pleasure to use everyday. with soft soaps, hard soaps, and creams. My wife especially loves it for shaving her legs. I recommend this to everybody looking for an introductory badger brush. It far outperforms the 35 dollar price tag. Matt Gritters on 22nd Nov 2016
I have a few badger brushes, and the 24mm finest by Stirling is by far one of my go to brushes. I will grab this brush before a Simpson, and just as often as my custom brushes. The tips are nice and soft, yet it has plenty of backbone to it. It deals well with creams, hard soaps and croaps alike, whipping up a nice luxurious lather. It can be a little bit of a lather hog due to the density of the bristles, but with a little work, will still release the lather just fine. People have complained about the funk of the hair...but if you wash and condition the hairs when you first get it, the funk goes away pretty quickly. Get one, you won't be disappointed!
*I'm not sure what star rating I chose, as it wouldn't let me see them, just that they were there...but it gets five stars, by far! Josh on 21st Nov 2016
Got new 26x58 mm brush yesterday.Nice box and wrapped rather well. Shampooed brush immediately let set overnight. I did not notice any badger funk smell as others had commented on. The brush was a little stiffer than my other badger brush and took a little longer to load but did create a ton of lather for a three pass shave. It is soft on the face. Craig on 5th Nov 2016
I was a bit sceptical at first, but once I received my brush I understood what everyone was raving about. It's extremely soft with great backbone.
Highly recommend getting one for yourself. This is the one people! Nick on 30th Oct 2016
When this brush was advertised, it immediately caught my eye . Frankly it seemed absurd that the product advertised as a Finest Badger 24 inch shaving brush would be available for $34.95. As someone who has been wet shaving since the early 80's I know what brushes with those specifications and hair type cost. In truth I needed another shaving brush like a hole in my head yet this was "stuck in my craw" as it were. As the owner of 15+ Artisan brushes with names such as Rooney, Morris and Forndran, Simpsons, Vie Long, and Semogue I had no reason for another. Yet I was so intrigued by the listing and the price I had to purchase one and try it out (unbeknownst to my wife, naturally). I sure am glad I did! This brush has a perfect knot size, nice soft tips with just the right amount of "scritch", holds quite a bit of water, and performs equally well with hard soaps, croaps, and creams. Frankly, had I run into this brush a few years ago it may have saved myself some scratch. Nonetheless I am happy to have one. Great product, Stirling! Unknown on 16th Oct 2016
This brush is a soft pillow of hair, retains water and heat nice, but does hog some of that great Stirling soap... Todd Rose on 6th Oct 2016
This brush is great and is on par with, if not better than my more expensive badger brushes! Nice soft tips, good density, and decent backbone for only $40 is a steal! The only thing is that my brush came with quite a bit of funk to it, which took maybe a week to get it down to being barely noticeable and I expect it to be completely gone soon. It also shed a bit in the beginning, which is normal for a lot of natural hair brushes when they break in - loose hairs finally being set free. Combing prior to use may prove to be useful. Hugh on 23rd Sep 2016
Really thick, and it has some backbone to it while still being soft. I switched from some cheap "badger" brush I bought from Amazon to this brush, and lathering went from being "meh" to having my face caressed by angels. Definitely worth the price, even more so if you can catch it on sale! Arthur on 23rd Sep 2016
