    1. Lemony

This soap really is for menthol lovers. Personally I love it, if it contained any more menthol I think my shave would be unpleasant. It already makes my eyes water a bit. Thats ok though, it has just the right amount of menthol for me. My only complaint is that the lemon fragrance is a bit overpowering. Others have said it smells like real lemons and not lemon candy. I thought exactly the opposite. It smells just like lemonheads candy and lots of it. I've gotten used to it but I think I'd be ok with them toning the lemon down a notch or two. Even though I feel a bit like I'm shaving with mentholated lemon pledge I think it will be my go to soap. on 17th Jun 2017

    2. awesome chill.

      great scent,cold face no drama.a must have . on 13th Jun 2017

    3. The world's BEST lemon freeze!

The last review was mine, guys - just wanted to state that! on 4th Jun 2017

    4. The world's BEST lemon freeze!

I cannot help it - this is a second review of one of the most magnificent soaps I ever had the pleasure to use!

Rod & Mandy are two people who deserve gold medals for their wonderful characters and their expertise and knowledge of the wetshaving industry. This Glacial Lemon Chill soap has the best of both. fresh, natural lemon with blasts of Arctic-cold menthol. The lather is so easy to work up and NO OTHER artisan or commercial soaps can even come close to this one or any other Stirling soap in skin-friendliness. Pair this with the Lemon Chill witch hazel and you'll be frozen-stiff all day, not to mention how nice you'll smell!

    5. Like a glass of lemonade on a hot summer's day.

Great lather as always, but post shave you smell like you've just taken a huge drink from a glass of lemonade. The menthol in this soap keeps your face feeling cool and refreshed for hours post shave which is brilliant for hot summer days. on 24th May 2017

    6. Wonderful!

Terrific and COLD shaving soap. A nice lemon scent but the menthol level is outstanding. One of my favorite soaps. on 12th May 2017

    7. Lemon Slushy anyone?

I like to have my soap bloom while I am in the shower (I soak it in warm water). After my shower, I put the bloom water on my face as a pre-shave. Seconds after applying the bloom water, my face started to feel the chill.

Applying this lather was a delight: it was like putting a lemon slushy on my face. The shave was so enjoyable that I did a fourth pass with my blade. It wasn't really necessary, but I hated to waste the extra lather on my brush.

My biggest surprise was when I used my alum block. No exaggeration, I felt like I was rubbing an ice cube on my skin. What an icy delight.

    8. A little heavy on the menthol

While the performance of this shave soap was excellent, the high menthol was a little much, and actually almost had a burning sensation--it feels like putting ice on your skin. If you like the sensation of your face going numb from the cold, this soap will definitely do it. Some people might prefer this feeling, but to me, the regular mentholated products have the perfect amount of "chill." on 26th Apr 2017

    9. Wow, Just Wow!!!

I've been using mentholated shaving products for about as long as I've been shaving, but this is my first experience with a really heavy menthol product. It will not be my last! I made two extra passes, and lathered up again before my final rinse just to further enjoy the icy rush! Performance is typically great Stirling, super slick and cushiony. Scent is lemon, with hints of lemon and a base note of lemon. Stirling Glacials will be my gold standard for menthol from now on, and based on a single shave, have earned a spot in my den, not just for summer, but year round! on 17th Mar 2017

    10. southern sunshine

I cannot give this product enough praise. its like shaving while enjoying a nice glass of lemonade on the marsh on a charleston afternoon. great soap no irritation lathers very well and cool soothing relaxation. on 10th Mar 2017

    11. Lemon menthol Goodness

Just used this soap this morning, and I must say some of the best soap I have used to date.lemon menthol is great! lively and refreshing with that cool bracing of the menthol. Slickness was there to protect my face as I have a thick beard and sensitive skin.. Really good shave soap and a great value for the money.. on 24th Feb 2017

    12. Awesome Soap!

This was one of my first two samples to try from Stirling. And thus far it is my favorite, small as my selection is right now. Forbthe price, it gives a heck of a protective barrier. Nice cushion, slick as ice (pun intended,) and makes for a pleasant shave. The scent is wonder, a powerful burst of lemon during the lathering process but it doesn't stick around long. For me, that's a plus. For being my first mentholated shaving soap, I think I found a new passion/obsession with cold shaving soap. It starts out cool but the longer it's on, the colder it gets. Add in a few splashes of cold water and be prepared to brace yourself for a nice numbing blast. I would definitely recommend this soap for its unique scent and cold factor. Also, if you're just the curious new wet shaver, give it a try. You only live once. on 22nd Feb 2017

    13. Amazing and a must try!

I am a fairly new wet shaver, and after looking into different soaps I decided to try this product from Sterling. I had never used a menthol shave soap before and WOW, this stuff is COLD! Not only does the menthol feel amazing but the lather is slick, protective, and thick even with the hard water here in Kentucky! I believe the Packaging is second to none and the customer service is truly incredible! on 22nd Feb 2017

    14. COLD

I would love to review this product, but upon arrival, my wife confiscated it immediately. Actually, I got it back after a few days lol. By far, the COLDEST shave soap on the planet! The scent is good and realistic. Not a fake lemon smell. You wouldn't want anymore menthol than this. It will begin to make your eyes water like it is now. on 9th Feb 2017

    15. It is COLD!

To me it smells like lemon cough drops. The amount of menthol makes it very cold, great for summer or hotter climates. It makes my eyes squint and you feel it going up your nostrils, that cold it is. I love it.

Shaving performance is great. Very nice lather, very slick and protecting.

    16. My Favorite!

This is one of my favorite soaps category! I love the menthol kick to it and the clean lemon scent is a perfect addition. The lemon smells very true to a real lemon and doesn't smell very candy like. The menthol is very strong in this so be warned! I liked it! Didn't get any watery eyes or weird chills. Just a very cold and clean shave. Goes well with the matching witch hazel and post shave balm. I also like to mix this up as well with Electric Sheep. I find ES and this soap to be very close to each other scent wise! on 30th Jan 2017

    17. The Name Says It All

This smells exactly like the plastic tub lemon chills I remember as a younger person and it is just as cold. I like it quite a bit but I imagine I will only use it in summer. Fortunately in south, central Texas that's about 9 months of the year. If you don't like menthol then don't even consider this. You've been warned. on 15th Jan 2017

    18. Face freezer!

This is the coldest soap I've ever used! A relatively straightforward fresh lemon fragrance combined with what seems like tons of menthol. The chill of the menthol builds with each successive pass. First pass is a nice refreshing cool...then the second pass feels like you dove headfirst into a cold lake on a hot summer day...on the third pass, change that to diving headfirst into a lake, in the middle of winter, with icebergs floating around you, in the middle of a snowstorm. As with all Stirling soaps, the performance is top-notch. If you want to try something cold, then go for this. Definitely something better suited for summer use, but I have used it on a few chilly days as well. on 29th Nov 2016

    19. WOW!!!

I bought a puck of Glacial Lemon Chill a while back, but only got around to using it this morning. All I can say is "WOWZA!!!" I'm one of those people who loves a cold menthol blast in my shaving products, even in the dead of winter. This GLC soap takes the menthol blast to a whole new level. Incredibly invigorating and soothing! LOVE IT!!!

Just like all Stirling soaps, great lather, great skin conditioning properties etc.

    20. I wasn't sure at first, but WOW!

At first whiff of this product, I got the impression that it would be more lemon cough drop than lemonade. Holey Buckets! Was I ever wrong! The descriptor matches my experience perfectly. Very lemonade, very cool, very long lasting.

I have used safety, straight, and multi-razors since 1977. The quality of available shave soaps has vastly exceeded that of the old Williams and Burma Shave hard soaps. Having used a good number of European soaps, I would, without question, place Stirling at the top of the heap. I have tried a good number of their samples, and found their quality control to be excellent.

Ease of lather, slickness of shave, and post shave comfort are best for me when using Stirling shave soaps!

      Well done!
