|Ingredients:||Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Grapeseed Oil, Palm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Menthol, Sodium Lactate|
|Instructions for Use:||Lather the pre-shave soap in your hands and massage into your beard or take the bar directly to your beard. Wash as you normally would using a facial wash. You can either rinse completely or build your shaving lather directly over the preshave soap|
This is a mild vegan soap that was formulated specifically for the face. It has added glycerin and a bit of menthol to soften the beard and prepare the face for shaving. This level of menthol is cooling but not in a Glacial kind of way. (Unscented & Menthol)
As I find again and again with Stirling, I am surprised at what a difference this simple bar of soap makes. My face is remarkably smoother, softer, and less irritated. A great product that I doubt I will ever do without again. Rich on 15th Dec 2016
I've been rubbing this right on my face after I get out of the shower, and letting it sit there while I get the rest of my shaving stuff ready. As others have said, the menthol does seem lighter than some of Stirling's other soaps, but I don't really have a problem with it. I use this in conjunction with other mentholated soaps and get plenty of freezy face just fine that way.
Works well, does what its supposed to, great product, great company. Jared on 14th Sep 2016
I am not sure if I am using it correctly, but I wish there was more menthol. Maybe I am just use to the glacial eskimo tuxedo soap. The X Man on 23rd Aug 2016
Excellent cushion added to my shaves with more than enough slickness and a lasting coolness thanks to the menthol. A mainstay in my den. Thanks! Charles on 16th Jun 2016
Alway love all my Stirling soap for both bath and shaving. This too is great soap but I would like it to be a little more menthol. It seems a little light on menthol vs any of the other menthol soaps I have gotten from Stirling. Scott Berry on 21st Apr 2016
I've tried both the plain and mentholated pre-shave soaps. I prefer the mentholated version. I would like it to have a little more menthol, but otherwise super happy.
I own all (yes, all) of the PAA (Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements) pre-shave soaps. I've used a half bar of each of them. The Stirling pre-shave soaps perform just as well as PAA and are less expensive.
I cut these in half to extend their life a little. Jerry on 23rd Oct 2015
