|Ingredients:||Lard, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance Oil, Sodium Lactate|
Made with a fragrance blend meant to capture the essence of a cool, autumn drive through the Ozark Mountains, this natural, handmade soap also adds the moisturizing qualities of Almond Oil. The same scent as found in our Ozark Mountain shave soap. (Fragrance Oil & Lard)
I have lived in the south my whole life and never smelled a pig trail like this. Very nice soap with many notes of natures scents, and all of them good.
I pick up floral in a very subtle way. Like others have said, a great pine scent .....but in a good way.
Very masculine and pleasing. Frank on 21st Sep 2017
This stuff is hands down one of the best scents I've ever smelled. It fills the bathroom with the scent too, which is awesome.
I'm about to stock up on some more bars of this stuff because I NEVER want to run out! Andrew on 6th Aug 2017
Awesome soap with an amazing scent. Unknown on 7th Jul 2017
Pig Trail is very natural pine scent. A very manly scent. A very mountain man scent. The smell is strong, to my liking, the soap is of course very good and best of all, natural. The smell is like a real pine forest, not a chemical pine forest and lingers on the skin for about an hour after showering as if you had labored in the wood for a week building a log lean-to over your cavern hole to please your She-Beast. The bath and part of the house smells strongly of needle tree forest for an hour after showering. The She-Beast loves it too. The bar is hard and heavy, both desirable. Great soap. Nice scent and good feel when I used it in my shower. The soap goes on thick almost like the shave soap. Its also VERY slick! So slick I almost fell in my tub as the fats they use in this leaves your skin feeling the same way. Very moisturized from the fats they use in this. Scent is there but doesn't last long. Overall its my first bar of soap from Stirling and I'm very impressed! The bar is huge and the price is very good. I wish they would do more of these soaps with exfoliants added to them. Either way I will be buying this again! Frank V on 23rd Jan 2017
I always keep at least one bar of pig trail on hand. I try to switch up scents and this scent is in my rotation. Tim on 5th Jan 2017
Cripes... I thought Autumn Glory was as good as it could get. This is easily now my favorite Stirling scent. Getting the shaving soap and balm to match this, ASAP. It has the perfect amount of pine and the perfect amount of spiciness. Unknown on 2nd Dec 2016
The soap itself is excellent. The area I live in has hard water (high mineral content) and as such most soaps don't foam very well without using a lot.
This soap gets excellent foam, and I imagine the foaming up of it is incredible if used with soft or well water. The smell reminds me of walking a damp trail in the fall after all the leaves have fallen. Unknown on 22nd Nov 2016
If you've not tried Stirling's bath soaps, don't hesitate any longer - it's worth every penny. Pig Trail is a great scent - I'm reminded of pine forests and Christmas! Super slick, cleansing and moisturizing. I will buy again! Jay N on 28th Sep 2016
Really don't know what to say, my whole family really likes this scent. I never been to the pig trail off of the highway in North Arkansas but using this soap makes me want to go there. For now we will just enjoy the scent from the soap. Stirling is the best bath soap, shave soap. Джеймс on 12th Aug 2016
One of my favorite soaps. Great after a hard days work. Unknown on 11th Jul 2016
Was looking for woodsy fragrance soaps and Pig Trail fits the bill. This soap is awesome! Great lather and non drying. I'm hooked. Wade B on 25th Jun 2016
This is a Stirling bath soap so all of the usual superlatives apply. The fragrance is both earthy, fresh, and natural. Mark on 21st Apr 2016
This is quite literally the best bath soap ever made. I've tried dozens of soaps from multiple continents. This is it. Just buy a whole giant block from Rod and slice it yourself. You never need another soap.
The scent is incredible. Wet leaves on an unmolested trail on a cool slightly breezy fall day.
But it's more than the scant. Something about the almond oil, lard, or combo of essential oils makes this particular soap a step above all other Stirling soaps - which of course are all great. But Pig's Trail is its own magical thing. matt d on 30th Oct 2015
As all their soaps go this one is no doubt as good as the others. This one definetly has a woodsy smell which i absolutely love. Unknown on 8th Oct 2015
It smells just like their Ozark Mountain shaving soap. If you've never tried either, don't waste another minute. Go ahead, add them to your inbox and buy them! I have tried this soap out yet, but if it's like the ones I have already tried, it'll create great suds, but not as moisturizing as Dove Men. Joseph on 16th Sep 2015
This soap smelled good out of the box, but even better when it hit the water. It smells like a crisp fall morning surrounded by cedar trees with a little fog. We love it! Unknown on 14th Aug 2015
I've tried a dozen different scents of Stirling's soaps and this is the one I keep coming back to in both the bath bar and the shaving soap. Mark A on 22nd Apr 2015
One of my favorite soap scents from stirling.
Always keep some in stock. Tad on 12th Apr 2015
I’m not sure I’d buy a product with the word Pig in its title but I did.
Normally I review shaving products but I came across this soap as a sample. It was part of a monthly Wet Shaving subscription box. When I picked the sample up and held it to my nose to smell it I just couldn’t put it down. I handed it to my wife and she said where did you get this it smells great can I have it? After I write about it I said. By the time I wrote this article we’ve already received the full bars in the mail. So she has her own now.
The Title of the Soap Pig Trail comes from the Arkansas Highway 23 it’s a north–south state highway in north Arkansas. The route runs 24.05 miles from US 71 near Elm Park north to the Missouri state line through Ozark and Eureka Springs. Wikipedia The rugged and forested Boston Mountains region of the Ozark Mountains provides the setting for the Pig Trail Scenic Byway. The soap is supposed to capture the essence of a cool, autumn drive through the Ozark Mountains. I can’t really comment on that because I’ve never been to the Ozarks but one thing I can say for sure this soap smells great.
The lather is incredible; as soon as water hits the bar it starts working. It’s slick as well and glides over your skin with ease. I often use body wash in the shower I use the kind that doubles as shampoo. So I tested the bar as a shampoo and it worked fine but not sure if this was the intended use by the Stirling Soap Co.
So the next question is do they make a shaving soap and the answer is yes! At least I think so they call it Ozark Mountain. Why the two different names? I’m not sure. They have the aftershave too. I think to pull all the products together they should rename the bar soap to keep it in line with the other offerings.
