Patterned after the famous Green Irish Tweed scent that was created for Cary Grant. This scent has been put to use by men like Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood, meaning this is what real men smell like, whether they're stepping out in a tuxedo like Redford, or making a canoe out of someone's forehead like Eastwood. I feel more masculine when I use this.… (Fragrance Oil)

    1. Love this scent!

Ordered a sample puck... what was I thinking ? This soap smells amazing and works just like any product from Stirling. I'll be ordering a full size jar before long! Thanks for making such good products that don't break the bank !! on 6th Sep 2017

    2. Sharp Dressed Man shaving soap

I like the scent and the lather is very slick and cushioning. I could use this every day but I like so many of Stirling's other soaps so well I give them a chance every so often as well. LOL! You will like this, just give it a try. on 20th Aug 2017

    3. Wow this smells great

The wife absolutely loves this scent. The scent is a medium high scent and is outstanding when used with the matching after shave splash and balm. This is my favorite scent of all the scents I have tried so far. The lather and slickness; well it is Stirling, so you know it is going to be unsurpassed and perfect of course. on 17th Aug 2017

    4. Surprisingly unpleasant

I know that everyone loves this scent, but for whatever reason, I just hate it - I shaved with it a few times and had to throw it away because I found myself dreading lathering.

But the technicals are great, of course. Given its popularity, you should probably try it, and hopefully you don't have a weird nose like me.

    5. The Best

Why did I spend all those years using out-of-a-can foam and a disposable when I could have been enjoying the products from Stirling? This soap produces such a luxurious foam and smells just terrific; your shaving experience will be something to look forward to every day! on 25th Jul 2017

    6. masculine

Fantastic soap , the lather was thick like coolwhip and scent was very masculine .
      Defiantly a favorite.

    7. Excellent shave

Unfortunately I could only give this 4 stars due to the scent not being a favorite(just personal preference). There is a subtle "after smell" (if that's a thing) that I am just not fond of. To me it's very musky. The initial scent is great though and it provides a wonder lather and smooth shave just like all the rest of the Stirling line does. I still ended up using all of the trial puck I got, if that tells you anything. This is probably a well-liked scent but just wasn't for me. on 29th Jun 2017

    8. Had to get one for myself

I had purchased this soap and aftershave as a gift for my son. My wife and I like it so much I had to get one for myself. on 15th Jun 2017

    9. sharp dressed man

First time buying a Stirling soap and loved it. Smoothe, good later, and love the scent, especially paired with the aftershave!!! on 30th May 2017

    10. My favorite soap by far!

One of the best soaps you can buy! on 29th May 2017

    11. Perfect!

The Sharp Dressed Man scent is a dead ringer for the opening notes of Creed Green Irish Tweed. I combined the Sharp Dressed Man soap and aftershave splash with a few sprays of the Creed last week, and smelled amaaazzzziiiing for hours and hours. The soap is soft and easy to load, and develops a slick, though not super-bountiful, lather. I don't get as much lather as with, say, Tabac, but no worries. The slickness is excellent and in my mind that is much more important than having gobs of lather all over the place. I would give this one a solid A. on 12th May 2017

    12. At last I have it!

I can't begin to mention how long I waited to finally try this awesome soap. Ok, it's just a sample but let me say this - VERY soon I'm buying a whole tub of this stuff. I love everything about it from the scent to the lather and the skincare. Rod, you'll be getting another order from me and this will be the first thing on the list! on 4th May 2017

    13. Solid

Almost gave it four stars, just cause the scent isn't as strong as I like it. But... it smells great! Just not exactly for me as far as strength. on 2nd May 2017

    14. Clean and smooth

Very pleasant, adult smell that is smooth and not overpowering.
This will be for my shave prior to putting on my tie and suit and going in to the board meeting.

    15. she still likes the way i smell

She doesn't like much I say or think. Or even much about who I am anymore. She seldom tells me I look handsome or that she wishes I was closer. But when I shave with this she does say she likes how I smell. Maybe that is why we do this... on 26th Apr 2017

    16. Sharp Dressed Man

I have used this soap for a long time. This is one of my favorite soaps. Loads on the brush and makes a great lather esp in hard water like mine. The scent is really nice. The soap always gives me a good smoth shave no matter what blade I use. This soap is always in my rotation during the week. on 12th Apr 2017

    17. Works as advertised

My first tallow shaving soap. I use it with a synthetic brush. Makes great lather. Smells good also. on 4th Apr 2017

    18. Sharp Dressed Man: Great lather, very subtle scent

This shaving soap is another great performer by Stirling Soaps. It loads up in the brush and lathers up like nobody's business, is nice and thick and protective providing a smooth and protective shave, and finishes with a great slickness and glide that doesn't give anything to any other soap or cream.

Perhaps because I ordered this along with the Executive Man, I found the Sharp Dressed Man's scent to be very subtle. It's nice, but you really have to search for it. And so subtle, I thought I was smelling some other underlying scents like the tallow itself that underpin the soap. I like a bit more fragrance in my soaps and creams (like Executive Man!), so my advice to the wonderful folks at Stirling would be to kick the scent up just a notch to that same level, for which I'd give it a resounding "5" stars! Otherwise, no complaints - this soap performs stellarly (is that a word?) and I'll continue to enjoy shaving with this one for a long time to come! Thanks Stirling!

    19. Great lather and scent

This was my first foray with Stirling Soap but won't be my last. I'd been using another soap with lanolin, and though happy with it, I checked out various sites and reviews to give something else a try. Really glad I decided not this one and swing by Q Brothers in Chicago to get this one.

As I was lathering up, my wife was in the shower and commented on how great the soap smelled. I was equally happy with the lather. Nice and thick with the right amount of sickness.

It gave me a phenomenal shave. I used a silvertip badger brush face lathered (me preferred method) and a Merkur 39c razor with a Feather blade. I finished with the matching SDM balm. I'm prone to irritation, and had none with this combo.

Looking forward to other fragrances in the near future.

    20. Where's the lather?

I love the scent but it takes so much work to get any kind of reasonable lather that I cannot recommend this scent. Sandalwood and Ozark have excellent lather but this one and Tuscany do not. When you have a beard like a wire brush, a good thick, slippery, lather is essenital and I cannot get anywhere near that with Sharp Dressed Man. on 19th Mar 2017
