You still hold open doors. Sir, Ma'am, please, and thank you are permanent fixtures in your lexicon. Your attire is never disheveled in public. You command respect from first glance, then earn and keep that respect as time passes. Rudeness and coercion are not in your personality. It doesn't need to be. Others feel compelled to be around you and work with you. You're not a jerk or a relic of times past. You're a Gentleman. A Stirling Gentleman....and this is what you smell like.
My go to scent, out of the handful of soaps and scents I've tried. Well balanced and long-lasting scent. TJ on 25th Apr 2017
This one is definitely one of my favorites, I haven't tried all of their scents yet so it might get over taken at some point. It isn't a very complex scent so you can almost smell each individual fragrance if you try, they still blend together very nicely.
I didn't expect to like this one at all since I'm not huge on tobacco, but I really love this. Unknown on 4th Apr 2017
Love at first smell. This was the first Stirling soap I tried and it quickly became my favorite. It's great. Very easy to whip up a rich lather and provides the necessary slip for a great shave. Couple it with the After Shave, Balm and Shower soap and it's time to hit the town. Great combo. Try it, you'll like it. Unknown on 4th Apr 2017
I haven't purchased anything from this company that I have been disappointed with yet! When I received Stirling gentleman, immediately the scent brought back memories. Not that it's an "old man" smell or anything, but it smells just like my grandfather used when he shaved. It's one of my top 5 favorites. I even talked my girlfriend into getting a few things from this company. She purchased some blueberry lip balm and got a puck of witchy woman. We are both huge fans of their products. Highly recommended!! Nathan Cole on 7th Mar 2017
Performance is great. I would prefer bit strong scent. Unknown on 21st Feb 2017
I've purchased both the soap and aftershave and they both perform great and smell amazing! Bobby-Joe Audet on 18th Feb 2017
My first Stirling soap in the new formula (i.e. without clay). I think the scent is an interesting one with a reasonable level of strength that even lingers in the post shave. Performance wise, it takes even less effort to lather up than the previous formula and builds plenty of volume for a 2-3 pass shave. A good cushion can be developed as well without too much effort. Slickness is good, but not as great as with the previous clay formula. Post shave is good as well. All in all, some better positives in the new formula at the expense of some slickness and a good tradeoff. It feels more balanced overall from before. The new presentation/packaging and what you get quantity wise really stands out as well. Just a very good all rounded soap quantity/quality/price wise and highly recommended. Patrick on 15th Feb 2017
the soap performs great but there is no scent at all. jake on 10th Feb 2017
I've sampled seven Stirling soaps so far, and this one is my favorite. It's a got a very rich, deep and pleasing aroma that, combined with the aftershave splash, lasts 12 hours or more. Like every other one, the shaving performance is great. Mark on 4th Feb 2017
This soap is the best shaving soap I've ever used. The scent is amazing and gets better as the soap cures in your bathroom. The lather is slick and builds quickly. The post shave, in my opinion, is a touch too dry. That is most likely because I haven't figured out how to build the perfect lather with it yet. Unknown on 26th Jan 2017
this was the first Stirling soap i used and WOW is it good. A nice lubricating lather. Very easy to use, smells great and very protecting if you take your time to build a good lather. It feels refreshing on the face! danish_hole on 20th Jan 2017
This is the best shaving soap that I have used to date. Stirling Gentleman is the first tallow based soap I have tried. I'm sold! It lathers far better than the vegetable and glycerin soaps I have tried. This scent is great. I will try more of the others offered by Stirling Soap Company, but this will stay a favorite I'm sure! I see this becoming another staple for me. It is wonderful in both smell and function. My nose isn't exactly refined but I'd describe this as slightly cologne-y with notes of light, sweet spices. What cologne you ask? Well, I don't know. Buy some and decide for yourself. It is just great. Redman on 15th Jan 2017
The sent of this soap smells amazing. You can really smell the tobacco an vanilla in this soap.

Shaves great as do all Stirling soaps. My face feels a little drier afterwards compared to any of their purely essential oil soaps (this is a hybrid of essential and fragrance oils) and it doesn't shave quite as well (still shaves really well). Not a huge fan of this particular soap as it smells mostly like vanilla to me; definitely a warmer, softer smell. I didn't really pick up on any of the other hinted scents, but it seems like they are there, just very subtle. I hoped that I could wear just the soap afterwards, sort of as an aftershave, but it seemed to smell like soap/dirty soap as the day passed, but this was an unrealistic expectation. Works well to make your shave more enjoyable, so long as you rinse your face afterwards and don't rely on it to keep its scent all day (use a cologne or aftershave). No noticeable scent after you rinse your face, in case this is what you want. Would definitely try this soap as I feel it's a hit or miss based on scent preference. Made the shave overall more enjoyable. Scent strength: weak/mild Alex Grove on 5th Jan 2017
A sample of this shave soap was my first purchase with Stirling. Loved the scent very much and purchased a full size tub. It pairs very well with the A/S balm. Excellent product in terms of latherability, slickness, and post-shave feel. Would love to see an EDP and a witch hazel product for this in the future. Unknown on 25th Oct 2016
This scent has all of the notes to make it a top tier player. Tobacco, Vanilla, Amber, and Musk. All blended smoothly to make a refined, manly, sophisticated scent. I swear, I would spend my last dollar on this scent is they released it as a cologne. It's not sharp, or spicy. Like I said, smooth. When I wear this with the matching aftershave I feel smooth, confident, professional, experienced, mature, but fun. Great for a night out, going to an evening gathering, bonfire, high school dances, but also a romantic night with the loved ones.
I own the soap, after shave and balm. Like I said if they made this into a cologne I'd snatch it up the second it was released. Unknown on 8th Oct 2016
The tobacco smell just isn't for me. It is a great product but I just didn't care for the scent. Matt S on 7th Oct 2016
Lathers and cushions well providing a great shave. All the Stirling soaps I've tried perform very well. Tobacco scent may not be for everyone but I'm hooked on it. Definitely will be in my favorites rotation. Michael M. on 30th Sep 2016
A very nice new scent from Stirling. This soap, like all Stirling soaps I have purchased, is slick, moisturizing, and a tremendous value when one compares the quality to the cost. As far as the scent goes, it is very manly without being overpowering; a perfect scent to wear to work as it will never offend. The Stirling Gentleman After Shave which I also own is a perfect match and tones the skin post-shave quite well. However, I also sometimes use Pinaud Vanilla as well as Pinaud Musk aftershaves on other days depending on my mood. Both scents are present in the lovely offering from Stirling and complement it quite nicely. Another winner in my humble opinion! DPC on 24th Sep 2016
