Synthetic fibers have never felt so good. Super soft tips with a sturdy black resin handle.

I am pretty new to wet shaving and my first brush was the Escali Best Badger from Amazon. Not knowing anything about wet shaving, I thought it's performance was pretty good.....until I bought this synthetic brush from Sterling. The bristles are as soft as can be, yet a nice stiff backbone that lathers quickly and feels great on the face. I can't believe this is synthetic that performs so well at this price point. The only critical comment is the handle. It looks great but there is a very small flair at the end which makes the angles somewhat sharp and difficult to hold on to. If I had one thing I would change,it is the handle but the performance is so great for the price I feel guilty even mentioning that small issue. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

This is my first synthetic brush. I've owned some cheap badgers and budget boar hair brushes, and one budget horse hair, but so far this brush is looking to trump them. I've used it probably half a dozen times so far. It feels great on my face, is firm but soft, hardly sheds at all like my other brushes, and hasn't picked up any odor (yet, we'll see). I know I haven't used it much, but I'm very impressed with the brush so far. Unknown on 11th Apr 2017
New to wet shaving, this is my first brush. Very nice and soft. Get a good lather. Steve on 24th Feb 2017
I love this brush! I don't have many brushes in my den but this is by far my favorite. Skeet Sirmons on 21st Feb 2017
This is the first brush I have owned, so I cannot compare it to others, but it is soft, but has enough backbone to lather hard picks well. Don R. on 19th Feb 2017
This is perhaps my favorite brush in my collection and used the most I might ad. Its great for lathering any soap and the price is unbelievably cheap!! Shawn Kelly on 8th Feb 2017
I have all 3 sizes of Stirling's synthetic brushes and I really like all of them. Soft, dense, and with a little backbone but not too much. For the price, these are great! DS on 1st Feb 2017
In my opinion, perfection. Unknown on 23rd Nov 2016
Is is the first synthetic brush I have bought in some years and was not disappointed. The handle is perfect and the knot is outstanding. Lathers very easily and dries quickly for a thick brush. Highly recommended. Jerry on 29th Oct 2016
Es el mismo pelo sintético de la plisson de loccitane pero con mayor diámetro de nudo y el pelo es más corto por lo que la hace perfecta para espumar en cara roberto castellon españa on 8th Sep 2016
All has been said and well said about this brush.
This is my favourite brush and i will pick an other one soon (bigger for changing) Unknown on 1st Sep 2016
I am a Female, and been using my husband hard shaving soaps to shave. He surprised me with this brush after my crappy amazon brush gave out. Has Great back bone! Lathers shaving soap beautifully! High quality as well. Couldn't be happier! Can't beat the price as well! Unknown on 5th Aug 2016
This thing is so soft. Plenty of backbone for me, not floppy at all and it splays easily enough. After the fourth use it has not shed anymore. kyle on 16th Jul 2016
I originally purchased the "Kong" brush and this one is every bit as good but with a little more control. This would also be very useful as a travel brush. John on 11th Jul 2016
I have 2 badgers 1-pure, 1 silver tip and a boar hair. This brush feels better on my face than any of the others. 24mm knot is perfect so soft with good backbone. Lathers up just as good if not better than the silver tip. The handle is perfect big enough my hand never feels cramped like with some of my other brushes and it has a nice weight to it. The packaging is classy and professional I just can't say enough good things about this brush. My first purchase with Stirling Soap Co. I'll be back ! The brush is an exceptional value, performance the feel of luxury on your face. Thanks Stirling Soap Co. Dan Singleton on 29th Jun 2016
Just a super soft brush, holds bristles well and has a surprisingly nice heavy weight. No complaints from this guy! Greg on 6th Jun 2016
This brush performs superbly. I have all three sizes and enjoy them all. I have one badger and three boar as well as six other synthetics. The three Stirling's are favorites. WPR on 26th May 2016
I have used one badger brush in the past, but this is easily my "go to" brush. You don't have to soak the brush before using and it dries quickly. YouTube, The Shaving Evangelist and Nick Shaves, rate this synthetic brush very high. Great brush for a reasonable price! Steve on 18th May 2016
This is my first synthetic brush, I have always used geniune badger. I must say for the price this brush is first rate. Joe Bifulco on 16th May 2016
For the money, I can't imagine a better brush. And frankly, this brush outperforms some much more expensive brushes. And there is absolutely no reason to purchase a cheap badger brush any more.
I have three Stirling brushes, the Lil Brudder, this 24mm, and the 26mm. I like the Lil Brudder for travel, but the handle is a bit cramped for my hands and so for home use I prefer the 24mm version which is the Goldilocks brush in my opinion. This brush is just the right size combination of handle and knot for enjoyable lathering.
The lather performance is great with hard soaps but I have to use a different technique than I do with badger brushes. I bloom the soap briefly, then take the dry brush and start swirling on the moistened puck, adding more water slowly to the puck.
All around, this is a great brush and I would be happy with this as my only brush if I was pressed for space or money. Unknown on 13th May 2016
