My favorite balm scent I've tried so far from Stirling. It causes an intense and short-lived cooling sensation when applied.

Great stuff. Soothing while providing a bracing cool effect from the menthol. Isn't greasy in the skin, but leaves the face nicely moisturized.

I have been using this for about 3 years now. The balm is great for soothing and moisturizing my face, as my skin easily gets irritated from shaving. It's wonderfully unscented with NO extra fragrances aside from the light and fast-fading odor of the natural ingredients. I used to add extra menthol drops for extreme cooling, but Stirling now takes care of that with this glacial formula.

I was using the unscented shave balm prior, but this mentholated one gives a much needed jolt. Would recommend to anyone who likes that chilly kick!

Menthol in this product starts off strong, leaving the face feeling like there is a mask of ice on you. Very refreshing. The odor of the menthol wears off quickly, keeping this balm truly odorless. I have really been enjoying it.

Perfect after a good shave. I use the unscented as as the soap and aftershave splash provide plenty of scent to go around.

I was not aware there was a difference between glacial balm and normal unscented shave balm. The normal unscented version did not appear when i searched for unscented balm. But this product is awesome. I was pleasantly surprised from the icy menthol feel on my face. Feels amazing after a shave. I will be ordering the glacial lemon balm soon.

I was looking for an unscented balm to use with different shave soap scents. This fit the bill and is mentholated as well.

I love this stuff! I use it every shave. The cold glacial cooling really staves off any irritation I might have gotten. My skin feels wonderful after I use it. Whatever you do Stirling, please don't discontinue this balm!

Great stuff

My first foray into aftershave balms was the Unscented. If you read my review there you'll find I enjoyed it a lot - left my face supple. I read the other reviews for this product and since I liked mentholated products, was gonna try this. And yeah, my first time trying this was after shaving my beard AND hair off. Ooh baby, my head was on fire (in a good way!). I'm sure this is gonna keep my whole face nice and soft again like the plain unscented. I find the cooling level of this is not too bad - I did get a tiny bit teary-eyed when I accidentally put some near my eyes but after a few minutes it went away without any other side effects. I've not tried the Unscented Menthol yet so I can't compare but while I wish this was a tiny bit more cooling (I was expecting feeling like I dunked my head in the arctic), it was still pleasant, so still 5/5 stars. It's a nice level if you're not super menthol-sensitive or it's your first time trying.

Perfect for getting the glacial coolness kick without mixing scents. Will definitely be a staple in the shave den. Thanks Stirling family !

This stuff is great. I love a nice chill after I shave and this stuff is true to the name Glacial. Unscented is nice so it doesn't fight with any other scent I might be wearing.

Okay so I wanted a metholated shave balm and I went straight to Glacial since other reviews seemed a little disappointed in the menthol amounts. I applied this after shaving my head bald and all I have to say is WOW this most definitely has enough menthol in it. In fact when I refill I think I'm going to go for the lesser menthol version just to compare, but I'm more than pleased with the Glacial. I honestly can't believe another review for glacial was disappointed in the menthol cooling. Maybe bald head skin is more sensitive to it?

I'm also using a lot of other Stirling products with their scents in it which is why I got unscented shaving balm, and obviously it has somewhat of a smell (especially the menthol) but it's mild, dissipates quickly, and doesn't linger. Perfect.

Moving on from the menthol, the balm itself is a perfect moisturizer for my head. It does take a bit of time to absorb completely into my skin which is exactly what I wanted (a slower delivery with longer lasting moisture), but if you go to bed right after it might leave residue/greasey spots on your pillow case. That doesn't bother me, I'll just have to change linens more often. My skin felt absolutely amazing well into the next day so it's well worth it to me!

Works exactly as expected from a great company with great products

The menthol smelling balm is nice, skin is feeling very smooth, was expecting more of the glacial cooling effect, it is not intense but staying power is ok, good for daily use but look elsewhere for face freezer.

This has become my favorite aftershave. It is super cooling, quickly putting out any burning and irritation. It also leaves my skin feeling so much softer and more hydrated. Being unscented, it gives me all of the healing without having to add another scent to the mix.

Been using this product for over half a year after every shave (some weeks I shave daily, others not, but I always shave at least three times a week). As to consistency, I agree with the comparisons to Nivea shave balm, but the comparisons stop there. Nivea feels like it has more of a water base. It's VERY refreshing, but so-so as a moisturizer.

Before I tried Stirling, Nivea was my balm--refreshing, and inexpensive. I get the same benefits with Stirling's post shave balm, BUT the moisturizing is off the charts--all without feeling greasy. A couple of drops does the trick, and 8 or 9 months later I still have half a bottle to go.

Whoa .... I've got 7 different Stirling aftershave splashes in the cabinet, which I adore, but decided to give the balm a try. I have instantly promoted this to my favorite Stirling product. It's amazing!! Soothing and moisturizing, and then there's that glacial kick, which takes it to a whole different level. Hands down the best balm I've ever used, so helpful after the usual shaving irritation. I love that it's Unscented. I just ordered it in a couple other scents, but Unscented is what I prefer most of the time (in aftershave splash too). I really like that Stirling has these unscented options. This product seems quite reasonably priced for a decent quantity of balm.

this stuff is amazing. I use it after every shave now and being it unscented it pairs with anything you have. The menthol is nice and strong and the actual post feel it gives is wonderful smooth and leaves your face feeling nice and hydrated. This product will make a nice edition to anyone's den. I highly recommend you try this balm!

wonderful aftershave balm, i found it felt just like NIVEA MEN with menthol added. not greasy at all.... this balm is a must to pair with stirlings amazing selection of COLD soaps!!

Great post shave feel! Nice cooling feel which to me isn't very strong like Stirling's aftershaves or witch hazel products. Applies really easy as the consistency is too thick. Dries very quickly but has a nice moisturizing feel. My go to balm pretty much for the numerous scents I have. Since it's unscented, its pairs with any of their products. Thanks Stirling for a great product!

I see I'm the first to rate this balm and I'm honored to do so. It's indeed unscented and exactly as it's described - frigidly-cold and no need to worry about it competing with a fragrance, and not only that - it feels so good on the skin. It's another Stirling tgreasure!
