Slick and smells great.

Scent: The description says this isn’t a copy of Pinaud Clubman and it’s not–it’s really more of a baby powder scent–but it does evoke those same memories of childhood haircuts and pairs well with the product this totally isn’t a copy of. It’s a scent for when you don’t care to smell like anything but unobjectionably clean. Side note: in the tub, I can smell the tallow in this one unlike other soaps but that goes away once it’s wet, no issue.

Soap: Stirling shaving soaps provide excellent lather, cushion, and glide as well as a superb value. I especially like that my skin is still slick even where the lather is gone, leaving me with protection even when my technique is less than optimal. Their shave soap is now my go-to; I have no notes for Stirling on the base product.

Every time I smell this I remember the green P!naud bottles from the barber shop where I grew up. Good memories.

Pairs well with Clubman A/S. Great soap.

I purchased a full size tub (my first Stirling) from a vendor but felt compelled to review here for better transparency. This soap is everything I wanted it to be. A perfect soap, if such a thing can be said to exist. The fragrance belongs firmly in the category of classic Barbershop fougeres (Pinaud, Canoe, and yes even Brut) while seemingly not trying too hard. And it doesn't need to, the scent isn't overpowering, it's just right; in the same way that your favorite vintage splash lays a few glorious minutes after applying. It nails that subtle citrusy/fruity top note that you find in these classic after shaves. Pair it with your Clubman, your Coachman, your Canoe, etc... and you will love it.

Stirling shave soaps are always top notch. Great selection and scents, excellent texture and foaming. Good value.

What can I say? Sterling is doing it right man!!!! I've seen some shaving soap tubs go for $35 and fall short of Sterling's' shaving soaps. I am a customer for life!!!!

Stirling Clubman was the first product I purchased from Stirling years ago. You never forget your first. It was the wonderful Clubman scent. I was very disappointed when they discontinued it and ecstatic when I saw it back in the lineup.
But this is not the classic scent. Very different, very mild. I cannot even say what it is.
The soap of course is great quality and will give you the best shaves you always get from Stirling soaps. But, if you are expecting the old scent like I was, this isn't it.

When I saw the name Clubman, I was expecting the classic scent I loved. Unfortunately, the product did not deliver. The scent was very hard to detect. What I did smell resembled something like anise. Given so many good experiences with Stirling I was surprised and disappounted.

Don't know why this isn't year round, most definitely should be. Christmas eve was my favorite.. But now i gotta say it's clubman.even ordered 6 bath soap bars, smells amazing I'm gonna buy more before they sell out

Im not sure but i tried this sample puck and lathered it up and to be honest i couldn't smell anything .Not sure if it was just me (ive got a pretty good sniffer) or maybe its just a mild scent.It lathered up great just not any scent.That the only reason for 4 stars.Maybe the cellophane packaging leaked the scent .Makes no difference i placed another order for more but just another choice.

Stirling nailed the scent! Lather up with Clubman and it'll take you back to an old school barbershop. No need to talk about lather and slickness - it's Stirling, and lather/slickness goes without saying. And they nailed the Clubman aroma! Great Job!! Yet another soap to add the the Stirling "Favorite" list.

This is another great one from stirling.

Nice fresh Barbershop scent. A marriage of scents between an open air Barbershop on the Boardwalk and a country Barbershop in the spring. Another home run from Stirling. Maybe if we are lucky it will make it into the standard line and maybe even a body butter or should I go so far to say it would make a great scent for the dry cracked skin formulas.

Fantastic soap and an amazing scent. I can only hope this scent becomes a regular one.

Excellent performance and scent. My only regret is that I didn’t get the AS with it. This is more my kind of barbershop scent and closely resembles what I smelled in the barber as a kid. Well done indeed.
