If you like smelling like a campfire the night after, then this is for you. I really do not like this smell, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to smell like this

It’s different. Like straight campfire. Unsure how i feel about it.

Admittedly, I have a weakness for Cade Oil and other fragrances that give you that "standing next to the campfire" smell. So with that bias in mind, I'll just say I ordered two bottles of this in case Stirling doesn't have enough nuts in their customer base to keep this in their product line forever. Wish they had it in EDP concentration. You can find this sort of fragrance in niche perfumery, but they really have knocked this one out of the park.

While it's not specifically listed as a fragrance note, the combination of elements in the Texas On Fire profile has a virtually 100% overlap with the fragrance notes of a good bourbon. Smells like it needs a snifter.

This one stands out, no question about it. To many people, smoke is smoke; they might rule this out immediately. But if you can tell the difference between oak, spruce, and cottonwood in the fire ring, or love that lingering whiff of scotch or Irish whisky in last night's empty glass, or have fond memories of how great your favorite pipe-smoking uncle's house smelled in 1970, you'll feel right at home with this. Solid five stars for a gutsy out-of-the-box offering. Thanks, Stirling. And because the reviews are all over the board, just to be safe, I ordered another bottle long before my first was gone.

If you like a spicey campfire scent that reminds you of that smokey hunting cabin in the woods then youll like this .As it wears on you throughout the day the sweet bourbon vanilla comes through imo.
Other than Barbershop this is my favorite Stirling scent .
Might not be a female friendly scent imo.My wife did not like it but it doesnt stop me from splashing it on everday before work .I love it so much i ordered the soap and shave soap.Im thinking about getting the non menthol version too.The menthol cooling effect combined with the smokiness is almost addictive.I would recommend trying the sample and giving it a whole day to blend off as the scent profile will change.Give it a chance.

First deployment this morning on my bald head and i got smoke ,pepper ,vanilla,slight cinnamon and bourbon after it wears on you after a few minutes.Almost reminded me of walking into a ric -house here in kentucky where they age bourbon.No doubt this a man scent.Smells a like a little hint of what my pine tar soap i use sometimes .I liked the sample so much i ordered a bottle of it.The smokiness is thick at first but finishes off after a while and the sweet scent overrides.Love it !

Like me, I imagine most are curious about this one. I added an AS sample to a previous order and was anxious to give it a whiff when it arrived. Initially, I was turned off and couldn't imagine ever using it. Every now and then, I'd run my nose by the sample that sat unused in my bathroom drawer and slowly began to gain appreciation for it. Though, still not enough to splash it on my face and go public. Then this morning, I tried and enjoyed a soap sample from another purveyor (blasphemous?) which had complimentary notes of sweet smoky cedar, charcoal, bourbon and earthy vetiver. I decided finally break out my TOF sample and use it. WOW! I didn't know what I was missing. Initially, it still hits you in the face but dries down into a wonderfully warm, mellow cedar campfire scent that is not at all offensive. My wife always asks which soap/splash I've used for the day and comes in for a sample. I surprised her with this one, not expecting her to like it. I was mistaken as she found it curiously delightful and appealing. TOF's not a everyday scent but certainly one to let marinate on your senses before you dismiss it.

My opinion of this scent changed a bit over the course of a few days wearing it. My first take was WAY too much smoke, like a campfire. It just seemed like liquid smoke to me. But there are a lot more spice notes going on in the middle ground which makes it pretty interesting. While I don't think it's right for me, it's definitely unique, and I caught myself trying to catch a smell of it during the day (it did linger in a nicely subtle way). I actually kind of like it now, but probably won't circle back on it, there are too many other things I'm interested in. But if you like the idea of smoke with rich, dark, spice notes creeping out from behind it, it's interesting. The spash itself was good, although I'm not sure I want to use alchol-based splashes for my skin type, which is very soft and moderately sensitive. I might try out some of the witch hazel offerings next.

I purchased several samples of shave soap and splashes. I have used Sharped Dressed Man and Mountain Man. Also, Tea Tree Oil splash, which I like. I like Stirling Soaps and will purchase more. But Texas On Fire is Way too smokey for me. Caught in a forest fire. dirt and cedar smoke. Not my choice.

Wanted to check the Stirling scents so chose a dozen aftershave samples. My first whiff of Texas on Fire was harsh and off-putting, so I sent it to the back of the line. Second test was on my skin (where it should be tested, right?) and a minute or two later, it went into the top two among my samples. A unique scent! I expect to purchase the EDP soon.

Good for anyone who enjoys smelling like smoke and burnt BBQ sauce.

The scent for the man who wants to keep catching whiffs of the bonfire he used to be at as a kid. Reminds me of nights on my families farm and hard working days. This is for the construction worker and cowboy. when I'm on the job-site up north; this scent brings me back to my bull-riding in the south and my visit to Texas. The scent is all man like me and the women absolutely love it- reminds them they are with a man who can handle anything- but who cares what they think. Texas On Fire is untamed and awesome. I wish they had their full range of products with this smell

Some years back I went through a phase of using cask strength Laphroaig as an aftershave. The dry down was a bit wet cardboardy and it didn't leave my skin feeling especially good. This scratches that same itch but with a scent that fades more gracefully and a much nicer skin feel.

I purchased the sample pack and made sure I included this scent to try. Now, my first take reminded me of those rubber gym mats (the rubber floor with speckled). But after it takes time to settle, it smells wonderful. It makes me think I am wearing my leather helmet at work.

Was excited to try Texas On Fire so i ordered the sample and glad i did. i smelt like an ashtray not very pleasant. i had scrub my face within seconds of applying it. will stick with stirling gentleman.

Not sure if it’s just my batch or a whole new formula but this version is much more office friendly and still amazing. I was shy to wear my last bottle to the office in fear of blowing everyone away but this is a bit more tame and still holds that signature Smokey/leather scent. Spot on!

Look, this is sort of a love it or leave it scent. At work, The guys are 90/10% in favor and the ladies are 80/20% in favor. My own daughter is so so. My wife loves it. I am over the moon with both the soap and the splash.

The soap like all of Stirling's shave soaps is a wonder, The splash has just the right amount of alcohol to give you feedback on a poor shave but not enough to punish you for it. Some of the scents from Stirling (IMHO) are just OK Mountain man and Executive man spring to mind. Others are really nice like Pharoah's Dreamsicle and Iced Pineapple, but Texas on Fire is magnificent.

Stirling's "Texas On Fire" has been my hands-down favorite fragrance since I tried it as a bath soap. I was glad to see it return as an aftershave - had to buy a bottle for me and one for my son. Highly recommended!

I bought the sample I had to get the big bottle. The scent is fabulous.

Reminds me of when i would camping for a few days, get home and unpack and everything has that campfire smell.

This is a wonderful campfire fire smell, that sticks around.

I absolutely love the Texas on Fire shave soap scent, its one of the funnest scents I have ever used!

I liked it so much I grabbed the plash to go with it...
Unfortunately for me, unless I got a bad batch or something, the scent is disappointing. The SOAPS scent is a wonderfully complex scotch whisky/leathery smokey awesome scent, while the splash I have here "to me" smells like i'm putting liquefied Cajun spice on my face. just smells like peppers and spices... Not sure why its so different oh well. Still a good splash!

A very unique aftershave that deserves top shelf. Lived in Oklahoma for over 60 years. Made many a trip to the Lonestar state. Witnessed and smelled many a fire. This is it. TEXAS ON FIRE. A one of a kind smell. None like it anywhere.

This was one of the most interesting splashes I got with my sample pack and it is also the only one that I had some issues with. The scent is great and the aftershave itself does a fantastic job! You can definitely smell the cedar which is just wonderful and then it smells like someone is trying to burn the forest down around you which is also very nice, but a little overpowering. I love the smell of a campfire, and I might just get this in a soap, but in my opinion there was just too much smoke scent in there. If they can kind of tone that down I would make this a staple in the collection my wife teases me about!

Smells exactly like the name says. It is a little too smoky for me. However I only bought the sample size and have found that if I blend it with the coniferous (about a four coniferous to one texas on fire) then it is quite nice. The wood helps mellow the smoke.

I absolutely love Texas on Fire. Got the shave soap and loved the smell, so I went for the A.S. as well. Love the deep smoky scent, especially if I layer it with the Coniferous witch hazel. If I could get thes as a cologne I would be in heaven.

Deep smokey sent. Has all the great skin soothing properties all other Stirling Aftershaves have.

This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Super smoky, very strong scented. It's wonderful. I can't get enough of texas on fire.
