Wonderful balms

This is exactly what you need after a shave. It moisturizers the skin and has a wonderful scent. My wife says it smells like I just had a professional shave at the barbershop.

I like using a balm, especially now during colder weather. I will also use the splash over the balm or the cologne depending on my mood. It's a great addition to my Stirling shaving experience.

It's here! I eagerly opened up the tube and took a whiff. At first I froze in fulfillment as the classic shop aromas tantalized my senses, then as the satisfying fragrance I've been searching for leveled out I went to work. Quickly I cleaned myself up, put the razor on, then applied the soothing and all so wonderous sensation of Barbershop Balm to my grill. The stimulation and fragrance took me for journey to the old world of the fabled classic barbershop. Matched with a soothing finish and soft to the touch feel, this one will be with me for a while. Perfect.

This barbershop balm is my favorite so far and my wife loves it too. After I put it on and get my wife to smell it on me, her eyes get all dreamy like and then, well, this is a family site so I’ll stop there. I haven't tried the other balms I bought yet but when I do, I’ll submit a review for them as well. Stirling Soap company is awesome!

Feels great on face but I think it has more of a baby powder smell than old time barber shop smell. Good on face though

I love the post shave balm for its moisturizing and skin healing as well as the Barbershop scent, also wife approved. Also very happy with Sterling, excellent customer service and quick shipping. Will buy again.

I may try and enjoy other products from Stirling, but this will always be my go to.

This stuff feels good on my bald head after i shave it and on the sensitive area on my neck.
A less intense smell than the splash or cologne but compliments both.
If you know the fresh feeling after walking out of a barber but less sting then youll like this stuff.
The smell reminds me of my dads cologne or aftershave when i was child.

I actually, used the Barbershop shave soap and the balm yesterday and today. The shave soap smelled wonderful in the lather. It was very slick and provided a lot of hydration. The 3-pass shave I got with it was amazing. I know the DE blade and the razor play a part but I used different blade and razor on each day and the closeness of the shave was the same. I used the balm after an alum block pass-no sting. The balm smelled just as great. Very fine product.

you'd describe a balm as "yummy and warm". But that is what this brings to mind. Also, the smooth feeling stays with me all day long!

Anyone giving less than 5 stars are people that can never be pleased in life period. I use this after my barbershop aftershave splash has settled in my skin and dried up. It’s a stimulating effect I like on my shave areas of my face. A little goes a long way when using. Using this is what I look forward to the most when shaving. You can never go wrong with this and definitely a must have with the rest of your barbershop shaving supplies.

Reminds me of going to the barber as a young boy with my father and grandfather. My wife really likes the scent as well!!

I’ve tried both the 1) Barbershop Shaving Soap & 2) Barbershop After Shave & love them compared to other products like Proraso. This After Shave Cream is more enjoyable smell-wise to me (too strong for some users likely) than Proraso’s Balm (which is thinner). My skin loves it, soaks it up, & eliminates razor burn — it IS a better product! I see, smell, & feel the difference between your products versus competitors I’ve tried in the past. Is it a true Barbershop scent? To me, Nope! That Old School “Barbershop” Scent is Master Well Comb! Does my family like the smell? Dunno & don’t care because I do! IF you can match Master Well Comb’s scent in shaving products, I’ll BUY it! Until then, happy to use these 2 products for the rest of my life, & will try other items down the road. Just stay OPEN Stirling Soap Co & keep making the Barbershop line!

First time using this product since I’m new to Stirling products. Outstanding feel and scent. I probably used just a bit too much! A little goes a long way. My wife just looked at me and said, “ Wow! You smell good!”

I don’t understand. How could this be given 5stars? I hate being negative, but I had high hopes. First, the plus…fast ship. Next plus…the Stirling Spice was ok. Now, the Barbershop balm…very thick. Fragrance is extremely light, however, the scent reminds me of Play-doh. Not kidding. Felt like a thick lotion going on face. Accidentally got on lips and felt like overdoing the chapstick. But the scent. That’s the kill point. It honestly smells like Play-Doh. If this is what a barbershop smelled like…ever…I do not remember it. I rarely review, and I hate leaving anything negative. But this balm is very disappointing.

the aftershave. Wife loves this scent. But she hated this . The balm I received didn't smell anything like the soap, AS or beard balm. Only shave product I've ever trashed. Love all the other Stirling products I've purchased. On my 2nd tub of this soap, but was disappointed with this balm.

Stirling's post shave balm is one of the best on the market. I have extremely sensitive skin. As a result, I'm prone to razor burn. Stirling's post shave balm calms my irritated skin like no other balms. In addition to putting out the fire, this balm has great moisturizing properties. Using Pinaud as a baseline for a barbershop scent, Stirling's version of Barbershop is unique with hints of vanilla, nothing like Pinaud. This is a scent that is pleasant and warm and invites you to come in closer. Not overpowering, but strong enough to pull your love one in for a kiss. This is Stirling's second best seller and my first choice for a Stirling purchase. I highly recommend this product for your shave den.

This has a very sweet, almost vanilla smell to it. Not for everyone, but it's definitely a favorite of mine. Good way to start the day.

Fantastic balm with a great smell.

The shave soap and this balm have a strong smell when paired together. The smell stays on my face for a good while. I love it.

I received a sample of the unscented post-shave balm, and it was deceptively excellent. While appearing somewhat gritty right out of the packet, it quickly translated to an invisible, silky smooth layer of protection that I've found a welcome finish to some of my more... shall we say, unpleasant shaves(I'm looking at YOU, Personna!). The Barbershop scented version is, if possible, an even smoother and more nourishing end to a shave, somehow without being greasy or otherwise unpleasant as some balms can be. I'm not sure how that can be other than the possibility that the sample balms may be sitting on a shelf for long periods before shipping. Unfortunately, the formula has also proven an ability to alter certain scent profiles. In this case, there is a somewhat potent musky vanilla overtone that overshadows the remaining notes. I'm a bit on the fence on whether or not I like it, but since it's such an amazing formula, I'm more than willing to give it a chance. If you like sweet musk, this is the balm for you, but if you don't, I suggest you stick with sharper or otherwise spicy scents, like Stirling Spice, Stirling Gentleman, and Sharp Dressed Man.

As for me, musky or not, this balm's still a keeper. An easy 4 out of 5.

This stuff is so smooth and feels great after shaving!The scent is wonderful!!! It is not overbearing but a warm masculine scent. Great stuff!!!
