This shaving soap smells and works great. I don’t use a shaving bowl—just wet my brush and the soap lathers up on my face nicely.

Like all of their shave soaps, the lather is great. Unfortunately I did not care for the scent. Would not order it again. Altgough the shave itself was great, the scent was not good. I should have ordered the smaller sample.

Carmichael is such a wonderful scent with a magical drydown!

I own a few Stirling shave soap among my favorites are BoatDrink,Weekend in Malibu,Mediterranean Man,Haverford, IslandMan.
This Carmichael is different, in a very good way. It reminds me of a room full of fresh slick tires at the GoKart with a fresh rainy feel. Think sports car, leather, vanilla.
It's not a strong smell, but you'll feel it long enough during the day.It will make you come back to the tin for a quick whiff but you'll not find this rubber feel I really like so much, so you'll have to shave more, which will makes you look good and smell nice. I should have bought the whole nine yard.
My only regret is not to find it easily on my part of the world in Europe with the rest of the line.

Goes without saying that STIRLING soaps give a superb shave! Clean, smooth, great lather and protection. The scent of Carmichael is a favorite. Subtle, not overpowering and suitable for work, going out for the evening, or any other occasion. STIRLING soaps and after shave balms are staples in my shaving stash. I very highly recommend them to anyone without any hesitation.

Light, fresh fragrance with a bit of coconut. It makes an excellent lather for shaving with a double edge razor.
