After sampling, testing, asking, etc, I finally found my go-to Stirling scent. More than a scent...its a lifestyle. My description wouldn't' do it justice. Just go for it...buy a cologne sample if you're on the fence. I'd say this would be a good blind buy. There are only four Stirling Scents that I have the AS, EDT, Bath Soap and Shave soap. This is one of them...and it bests the other three--Sandpiper, Barbershop, and Arkadia. Don't let the lack of reviews fool you...instead look at the quality of the reviews. I don't know of any other offering here that receives all fives across the board.

Its good one but remains me a little bit to the stirling green cologne but with the difference that this lotion lacks the overwhelming potence of the stirling green cologne. Overall a solid addition

A really pleasant sandalwood-forward dry-down with a sweet ambergris accent and pretty good longevity. Wife said this smells like her grandparents old (mostly) wooden house. I really like it - maybe not for date night, but would be a solid choice for a daily driver in the office in the fall.

I love this one, and I could definitely see the desire to make it a regular offering. On initial application that sandalwood is definitely a prominent note and it's a bit floral and beachy, but the base from the ambergris and vetiver come strong too to make the first impression very complex, ranging from floral to earthy and musky (and I appreciate the vetiver isn't overpowering everything like it tends to do). The cedar is there too, almost got a little bit of a fresh library book smell with it for a short period.

The dry down loses nearly all of the floral qualities from the initial spray and it's just a beachy, earthy musk for most of its time on me. Sandalwood + ambergris + cedar + vetiver go extremely well together.

Just to note - this is very, very similar to Ramblin' Man. So if given the fleeting nature of Outdoor Man, if you want to get a general sense of what this one is like and it's out of stock. Ramblin' Man will give you a decent idea. Outdoor Man is more woody and earthy, where Rambin' Man is maybe a little more citrusy and the sandalwood goes a little further in the scent. When I first put Outdoor Man on I definitely thought "Oh this is just like Ramblin' Man" but there are noticeable nuances that make them unique. In general, I think I'd actually prefer Outdoor Man.

I bought this because I like the scents in the description separately, but this combination is fantastic. It changes so much throughout the dry down from a earthy citrus to a warm powdery scent that I can't really describe other than a creamy sandalwood type scent. It lasts all day on my clothes, but only about 6 hours on my skin. Definitely a keeper. I would buy the other offerings, but they were sold out when I finally got around to purchasing my next order of soaps. I hope this becomes a regular offering.
