Scent Description: Piacenza is close to Parma.  A blend of citrus, florals, Rosemary, Amber, and musk.  A scent for the ages.

Ingredients: Aqua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Left Juice, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol & Polysorbate 60 (Emulsifying Wax), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, (Vegetable) Glycerin, Myristyl Myristate (Co-Emulsifier), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Phenoxyethanol & Caprylyl Glycol & Sorbic Acid (Optiphen Plus), Parfum (Fragrance), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Allantoin.

NOTE: Due to the ingredient Allantoin, this product may exhibit white specks.  This does not affect the performance of the balm and the white specks are fully absorbed when applied to the skin. Allantoin is an additive that helps heal wounds and stimulates the growth of healthy skin tissue.

Bottle Size: 4.0oz

Customers praised this post-shave balm for its soothing properties and pleasant scent, with many noting it "helps soothe any irritated skin." The non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and works well for sensitive skin. Some found the fragrance generic or not as citrus-forward as expected. A few customers needed reapplication for optimal hydration.

Great scent

I thought Stirling Barbershop was my favorite, but it’s been replaced by Clubman!

Good, pleasant

It’s fine. It was recommended to me as a citrus fragrance and I don’t get that. It feels great on my skin post shave! But the scent is a little bit generic to me.

Great Stuff - Nicely Scented

First, a quick bit, about me as this written portion might seem at odds with the five stars. I'm an outdoors person, rarely use sunscreen and my face is exposed to the elements every day, for hours at a time, I shave with a DE Razor and, many days, I don't always drink enough water. My dermatologist is happy with my skin's condition but it does take a beating and has for 50+ years.

My five stars are related to product quality, and consistency. This is product is extremely well made, consistent, great ingredients and high quality. NOTHING wrong with product quality, quite a bit wrong with my personal care, nothing more.

Overall, I find this balm to not be quite as effective as others I have used, in the past. I find myself, after a shave, having to reapply, at least once, about an hour after the first application and then, again, the next morning, to keep my face hydrated. I firmly believe that if my face wasn't as subjected to what it is, this balm would work just fine.

This product passes "the wife test." With many balms, I jump into bed and she exclaims: "Did you swim in perfume???" She's VERY sensitive to scent oils and most she does not like. This one, she's perfectly fine with. ALL Sterling products have passed the sensitivity test and is a testament to Sterling's attention to detail and quality ingredients.

Overall, makes my face feel nice and comfortable, after a shave, once I get enough on. Five stars for an excellent product, overall.

I was not allowed to try this one according to the wife

I ordered this and the matching soap, however the wife would not allow me to use it as she was not a fan. I appreciated the scent, but unfortunately have not used it. I love my other Stirling after shave balms, so I am sure it is great. If you like aqua di parma, you should definitely give it a shot.

Stirling's balms are simply a MUST

I'll keep this short and sweet. Stirling is my favorite manufacturer of shaving products. Piacenza's scent is warm weather perfection and the balm is excellent for those who have sensitive skin

Quality

My first balm from Sterling. Was a Nivea guy until now. I have medium heavy stubble but thin skin so using fairly aggressive razors left me with alot of irratation, especially around the chin. When applying Nivea, I get a rush and "feel it working", then it is gone. With Sterling balm, I use alum block, witch hazel, then balm. A little goes a long way. In minutes the irratation, reddness, and raw feeling is gone. Even 12 hours later (I shaved last night) still feel it on skin, in a good way. Scent is mild but complex.

Awesome!

Non greasy, nice & soothing. This is my 1st Stirling aftershave balm and I'm happy to say. It definitely won't be the last. I'm a head shaver so I wanted shine but not greasy. This stuff smells as good as the soap and does the job I look for in a balm. Excellent in the winter for dry skin. Thanks Rod & Mandy!

Great Scent

You only have to use a very small amount. I shave my head and face and use this after my shave. Smells wonderful and I have received many complents. Leaves my face and head feeling soft and clean. Highly recommended.

Citrus

Holy oranges! Not just oranges, but you will smell them without a doubt. They strike first and then fade into the amber and musk in the background. This is a scent for all year as it covers the high of summer and the low of fall.

Get it!

Love the face feel on this balm and it has a nice soothing sensation. The lemon? scent really shines through in the balm and as a citrus lover, I'm really enjoying it. Grab some to pair with your soap.
