I bought the sample size to try out the soap and the scent and I have to say what a great scent and the soap itself is second to none. So glad I found out about Stirling Soap. The customer service is great and what a great variety of products.

This is now my fifth full-sized jar of Stirling shave soap (it all started with Bay Rum, then Stirling Spice & Clubman, and Barbershop. I also recently picked up the 3oz jar of Seine Reserve (PLEASE keep making that one - review coming soon!). The soap itself is an easy purchase. I know exactly what I get with it - a soap that lathers easily in my hard northeastern water and produces a ridiculous amount of voluminous, protective, and slick lather that leaves my face feeling soft and conditioned. They’re consistent across tubs, distinguished only by the remarkable scents. Piacenza is no different. As a longtime user of AdP Colonia, I had high expectations for the soap (and splash, and balm, and EdT, and oil, and bath soap - got the whole lineup) that were blown away when I unscrewed the cap and began loading the brush. The scent comes alive and perfumes the bathroom with a wonderful and mysterious citrus accord that’s just lovely way to begin the day, any time of the year. Piacenza, as long as Stirling continues making it, will always have a spot in my soap drawer. Bravo, Rod and Mandy!

It is not cologne though has a scent. I would not want to use every day though it is nice when I use for wet shaving. Value is 5, and Stirling is good lather . Best for bowl lather with a large knot. Post shave is there and scent is there for an hour even with the soap.

I've been using Stirling shaving soaps for a couple of years, so there is no surprise, and I know I am going to get a fantastic shave from any of their soaps.

The adventure now lies in the scents...and this one is fantastic. I've never used Acqua di Parma, so I cannot say if this is an accurate "homage", but it is truly wonderful. Citrus top note with some floral, amber and musk...just exquisite...and now a favorite of mine.

This scent is my go to. I bought the whole cabinet of this scent! If you’re looking for a manly just walked out of the barbershop ready for the day or night scent, then this is definitely one you should try! Still trying others out. But this shavesoap is something I look forward to every time I’m due for a shave! Thanks Stirling!

The Piacenza shave soap has a great scent and has that Stirling slickness. Provides for a smoothe comfortable shave.

I just tried the Piacenza sample and was very impressed. The scent was terrific. My girlfriend really liked it. I think this one is going to have a permanent position on my shave shelf.

This was my first purchase with Stirling after using a competitor from Arizonas stuff. I bought a ton of stuff on my first order after pouring over a ton of comments and reddits about this company. I got executive man, piacenza, haverford, mountain man, intrepid man, and the accompanying after shaves. I have to say I love all the smells but Piacenza takes the cake! It smells so freaking good. I had to crack the jar and take a whiff several times throughout the day. I just got done shaving and it performed very well, lathered well, very nice on my skin, and gave me a great smooth shave. Splashed the aftershave on and got that wonderful burn. I smell like a boss. There are a few other scents I want to try but I’m stocking up on Piacenza everything.

The citrus spice is there with a bit of florals and a base of rosemary. Almost like a clean linen candle that is a tad bit powdery. Scent strength could be a bit better but this one has a lot going on but it works well. I almost get different comparisons of things each time I smelled it.

No need in talking about performance because all of Stirling Soaps exceed beyond 5 star in performance. The scent on this is Amazing!! Reminds me of Taylor Of Old Bond Street sandalwood. Has a very nice clean and fresh smell. Absolutely love it and it has moved up to the top of my list on scents!!

Top 3 Stirling scent. Excellent performance

The soap is so rich and creamy, it practically lathers itself. Excellent performance with an excellent scent. I couldn't stop smelling the container, and came back to buy another jar, and the aftershave to match.

Recently purchased Piacenza shaving soap after seeing YouTube videos and other reviews. I was excited as this was my first Stirling purchase. Lo and behold 2 shaves later I still cannot smell the hyped Aqua di Parma scent AT ALL. My wife and kids agreed and made fun of me and said I got ripped off. It smells like plain Ivory type soap, even my Arko (which has almost no smell) may have a better smell. I tried to inquire with customer service and the reply was "smell is extremely subjective" with an apology but no genuine attempt to rectify. The texture, smoothness, slickness was great on my shaves, but the soap was scentless and actually bad.

Stirling soaps are amazing there performance is top notch. This soap smells amazing. It has a Sophisticated scent that is not too complex. To me it is a very summer scent. It’s bright, citrusy, and is just wonderful. Stirling is an amazing company that has top notch products. If you have not tried this soap, you need to and add this soap to your collection you want be disappointed.

Of the 7 Stirling soaps I have tried, this one is my favorite. Recently discovered wet shaving and this scent is the 1st soap I kept going back to smell. I knew this is how I was always going to shave after smelling the lemony goodness.

I love Stirling’s great softening and conditioning effects on my skin and whiskers. No matter the scent, Rod and Mandy carefully control the quality of their soaps, and they are especially good on the skin.

I do get a little itch or burn from some scents. If there is cinnamon or clove present my freshly shaved face doesn’t tolerate it.

Most of Stirling’s formulations are perfect for me. If I’m considering a scent I’ll order a sample first just to be sure. Since this one aims to imitate the fresh citrusy scent of Acqua di Parma Colônia, I felt no need to try first. My skin loves citrus scents and so do I.

This one is fantastic.

This stuff is amazing! Lathers well as expected, and smells AMAZING! An inoffensive, somewhat sweet-smelling, lightly masculine scent. This will be a permanent part of my collection.

I got a sample of this soap back in June (fathers day) and at first did not like the scent of it but when I tried my first shave it just performed excellent, better than my proraso red (only soap I had) after a few shaves I started enjoying the scent more and more until I found myself taking sniffs at it every time I walked into the bathroom, same with the other scents (executive man and Sandalwood). I just received a birthday gift last week of two new soaps: Barrister and mann excelsior and Mikes natural soaps and I can tell you that Stirling soaps perform at the same level at this called "high end top notch" soaps (it was a gift so I can't complain). I will definitely buy Stirling soaps again with their after shaves in the future.
P.S. I am a daily coffee addict so very exited for whats coming.

A soap (and matching splash) that match Acqua de Parma Colonia? Yes please!! Quite possibly my favorite soap now! Each time I use it is a treat!!

Great clean scent with a bit of citrus, reminds me of spring and summer. Good as an everyday soap as the scent is not to strong , but you can still notice it after a few hours.

Lather and slickness are top notch as well.

One of my favorite Stirling soaps. The performance is great as usual. Slick, protective, and creamy tallow + lanolin combination. The scent is very nice. Light enough to enjoy it and not too strong to give me a headache. Just a enjoyable cologne-like scent. Smells a bit floral, fruity, and sprite-like notes to my nose. A great soap overall.

This is very close to Colonia by Acqua Di Parma.

The scent is very citrusy without compromising the balance and complexity from other notes. It’s one of the most fresh smelling fragrances you’ll find.

This will probably become my favorite and most used fragrance from Stirling because of how classy it smells and how versatile it is for different occasions.

Huge fan of Stirling soaps/aftershaves. I have 4 sets and plan on buying more...but... wow! Piacenza is immediately one of my top 60+ soaps,after just 1 shave! The scent is incredible and sophisticated. I won't bother mentioning the performance,since it is widely known that Stirling soaps are boss! Rod, please don't stop making Piacenza! Simply put,this one is a masterpiece.

I got turned onto Stirling when I bought this at a store in the Chicago area. It performs well with a nice rich lather. The scent is good and a reasonable substitute for Acqua di Parma by Colonia and Stirling is a much more reliable source than the other maker of a similar scent.

To Stirling - Keep up the good work!
