This is the closest approximation to the old Shulton scent as you will find without buying an overpriced vintage bottle on Ebay. The smell out of the bottle before you put it on is spicier than the smell from the real formula, but for whatever reason, when you actually put it on your face, it gets surprisingly close to the vintage scent. No version of the offical new stuff smells like it did. If you like Old Spice before they changed the formula, you’ll like this. It would be cool if the packaging approximated the original, but im guessing that would add to the cost or is copywrited or something. Either way, I’m happy with my purchase!

So, I've been in the store a couple of times and I wanted to purchase the spice shaving soap, but really did not like how it smelled. I ordered a sample of the aftershave splash and to be honest I'm not sure why. But I really like it. Why did I not like the soap scent in the store? Is there a difference? I don't know. But I really like this scent. Fairly strong. I have not bought a full bottle of any of Stirling aftershaves yet....but this is in the top 3 of what I am considering. I liked this scent. Smells better than Old Spice in my opinion.

Really really happy with this. This can be such an easy grab for anyone that just wants that nice, clean, warm classic barbershop feel. This is not the version you will see stocked on drugstore shelves everywhere, this is a call back to a simpler time in men’s grooming. 10/10

While the physical feel is very premium, the projection is good, and from the bottle it smells great…Unfortunately on my skin it does not smell the best and my wife said I smelled like an old woman! As with any fragrance, YMMV depending on how your skin/body reacts with the fragrance. Still worth a shot if you love Old Spice.

Chasing down a memory is hard. Grandfather's Old Spice post-shave face slap and smell is one of them. Clean, bracing and not imposing - just right. This one comes close to the old memory and brings it's own vibe - less spice and some more soap smell. Closes pores and makes your face feel smoother. Enjoy

Longevity. It has no notes in the beginning. Then a few baby powder. Then it warms up and has a spice scent. It's not old spice though if you like Stirling it's enjoyable. Someone described as jet fuel with notes of English Leather. It is the form of distribution, alcohol and oils. If you are not needing a one to one copy of old spice then it is good. Lasts all day.

Absolutely tremendous scent...spot on to OG Old Spice. Longevity, to me, way outperforms other after shaves here. It's right up there with the longevity of Evergreen Forest AS With either, you don't really need the EDT. However,. feel free to decant some into a sprayer and it performs well as a mist. Also, layers well with Arkadia EDt and Outdoor Man EDT (for reasons beyond me)

Beautiful three season scent, like to wear this when I spend more of my time on the outside. This is as close to the original as you can get along with the shave soap. scent lasts a good four hours or so and you can still catch a whiff of it beyond that. If you like other Old Spice replications you will love this one, it is spot on.

So missed the original Old Spice from my Father and Grandfather from years back. Stirling got it right! Please keep making this product!

Picked up a bottle based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. This scent is as close to the original as one can get. Now I see there is only one bottle left so I'll have to wait until next year to pick up some more. The scent is a great summer time pick me up with just enough spice to round out the sweetness. For those of us that can remember the original Old Spice scent, this will be a pleasant surprise for you.

This is so very close to how i remember my Grandpa!! so many memories of the 70's and 80's when use this i was still using O.S. everyday and comments were made about smelling old. but when i used this they loved it! it is with me from 530am -8pm when i shower for bed. very nicely done! i did order a few more as i hear it is only seasonal.

You can bet I’ve been stocking up on several bottles of their aftershave, along with both the shave soap and the bath soap. This year, I decided to go all out—I grabbed an extra tub of the shave soap, two more bottles of the aftershave, and an impressive ten bars of the bath soap. I always believe it’s better to be prepared, especially when it comes to a scent I love. My greatest hope is that they never choose to discontinue this wonderful fragrance, as it has become an essential cornerstone of my grooming routine and carries with it a sense of personal history that I appreciate deeply!

I am blown away! While trying to find a scent that was true to an "old" favorite all of our grandads wore, I came across Stirling Spice and thought lets give it a try.
My word. Opening the product I was immediately transported back in time. I splashed on a conservative amount in the morning and it just keeps on giving into the night. This is truely a fine product, well packaged in glass, not plastic, thank you, and at a reasonable price.
I am very impressed. This isn't just smell good stuff it is an experience

I'm not sure how similar Stirling Spice is to Shulton (I never had a chance to try the original Shulton Old Spice), but Stirling Spice is really great. This one will be in regular rotation during the colder months. Thanks, Rod & Mandy, for bringing this one back!

The splash is great and pretty close to the original OS, I like it a lot. I haven’t tried the puck yet, I have about a dozen different pucks started and I need to at least finish one of them before I get into a new one.

Wonderful scent.

I was born in the early 1990s. At that time my dad was in his late 20s possibly early 30s. He would come out after shaving and almost exactly like this aftershave except the sterling smells a little more classy and not as cheep as the old spice did if that makes sense. My dad was pretty muscled up at that time so this smell never reminds me of an old man. It reminds me of a very masculine, very strong, very tough and very patient man! It does smell a lot like original old spice!

I struggled with how to word this, so here is my best attempt. One of my favorite scents in the shaving world is an homage to Hai Karate by another artisan. I've always wanted to see if other artisans could do a version of it themselves, but didn't know how to ask. After buying this on a whim, I was super excited to get a Hai Karate feel from it. I don't know how close the original Old Spice smelled like Hai Karate but I love this scent so much. This has become my favorite Stirling aftershave.

So if you're familiar with Hai Karate, or even the homage to it, you'll find this splash very reminiscent to that scent.

I'm unsure how to rate this scent. I expected something approaching the original Old Spice, which is one of my favorite dailies, though it can't be had any more. What I got instead was an almost exact clone of British Stirling (both in the bottle and on my skin), with no spiciness at all (beyond a faint hint when I first opened the bottle). This isn't a bad scent, just not what I was looking for.
My wife likes it, though. Just disappointed that it wasn't what I hoped.
Maybe I got a bad sample?

I'm young-ish and have no experience with original old spice scent. That being said, out of all of my aftershave splashes in my rotation this is my go-to. You'll get no complaints of an "old man scent" from me or any of my friends, if anything it smells mature compared to more modern "shopping mall" type scents.

I got splash glacial because I love menthol and some reviewers said that it doesn't affect the overall scent. It definitely has a noticeable menthol scent but that fades rather quickly. The menthol does give this the "sea breeze" feel that the old advertisements talked about.

As many of the other reviews have said.... This smells as close to the Original Old Spice that everyone is seeking. When I splashed it on, it took my back to the days of watching my grandfather and father shave. Well done Stirling, well done.

I really liked the scent of this aftershave. Kept seeing reviews about it smelling like Shulton Old Spice which I have no idea what that smelled like...but I do like the modern version of Old Spice so I decided to give this a try. My initial impression is that it is much more mild than the modern Old Spice scent although it does have a spiciness to it. I also think it has a nice barbershop scent to it. My wife liked it a lot. I will continue to use/buy this. It's broken into my rotation.

This scent is neither good nor bad. It smells clean and refreshing, but it is not one of my favorites. My top Stirling aftershaves remain: (1) vanilla sandalwood, (2) orange chill, and (3) black cherry.
