This is one of my all-time faves. As others note, gotta love vanilla. I do. And I always get it with glacial ... wakes me up and soothes all day. My most-often go-to. And when I want to change it up ... mix it with my cherry/tobacco/leather. And the ladies love it. And me! 😉

Vanilla Sandlewood was one of the first products I purchased from Stirling and it was instantly my favorite right off the bat. It goes with just about every other scent. A great staple to keep on the counter. I personally love the soap, aftershave splash and lotion. Too bad a cologne isn't offered.

Thus is a keeper. First got a hint of it from the sampler...now I can enjoy it more with the entire bottle!

I've been buying this for years. I would love if, I could buy double the amount at a lower price since I go through aftershave before the shave puck.

My wife really loves this one. And that's great for me!

This is the only one I opened so far out of the 6 I purchased. The aroma is to my liking 100% and it is very mild...thank you for a great product.

Vanilla scent was strong in the splash sample I got compared to the bath soap of the same scent. I'd say the scent was majority vanilla with a woodsy hint in the back. I enjoyed it but I know some people don't really like strong vanilla scents.

We bake pound cakes at Christmas so for 3 days our kitchen smells like heaven. only real butter and vanilla imported from Mexico. This scent takes me there. I ordered the sample and fell in love with it so I got the shaving soap, balm and splash.

I like the soap but the splash is a bit too sweet for me.

This splash has a very nice scent, although the vanilla seems to overpower whatever sandalwood there is in the blend. I don’t use much of it, and find the vanilla scent to be nice and subtle. The shave soap in this blend is outstanding, as is usual for Stirling.

Purchased online at Maggard Razors last weekend. First and only time using this, I smelled like a batch of cookies. Absolutely no sandalwood at all; not off the bottle nor after dry down. Had my wife give a sniff test after me having been at the office all day and even 12 hours after application, she said she smelled nothing but vanilla. Usual Stirling longevity which accounts for the one star rating but no other redeeming quality. Most likely this will be poured down the drain as I can't think of any other suitable use for it.

This was the first Stirling aftershave splash I tried and I love it, still my favorite now after trying multiple splash scents. Smells just like what you would expect, quite literally just vanilla and sandalwood in a wonderful combo scent. One of these days I'll get around to trying it as the shave soap.

I love your products but this is all vanilla and no sandalwood. I smell like a delicious cupcake. Not bad, but not what I wanted.

Another scent in my sample pack. I like this one very much. but as others have said the vanilla is very pronounced and the sandle wood not so much. i currently have regular sandlewood which i also like but the sandlewood is also very faint that you can hardly smell the it. this at least has a strong scent profile. stiriling just needs to kick the sandlewood scent up a notch in the vanilla sandlewood and regular sandlewood and it would be perfect.

Not a bad scent, but you have to like vanilla. It is sort of sweet, sort of musky, and loads of vanilla. Nice staying power. You can catch brief whiffs throughout the day. Nice.

So there's nothing actually wrong with the product, it's just that it smells almost purely of vanilla and I have to almost focus on trying to smell the sandalwood to actually get a whiff of it. I absolutly love the shave soap to the point of using it everyday, but maybe I just got a bad batch of the aftersplash since they are made in small batches.

Nice feel and fragrance. I mix it half and half with Thayer's witch hazel for a splash that is perfect for me. Enjoy!

I purchased this initially as a sample, along with the sandalwood and several others. The sandalwood is very nice, but the little bit of extra vanilla just sets it apart. Something unique that I really enjoy. Not too sweet for me as well. If the smell of vanilla appeals to you, give this a try.

I purchased a sample of this and it was so good that I purchased the full size after shave splash. This smells mostly like sandalwood but you do get the vanilla scent coming through. Feels great on the skin and the scent lasts a nice long time. It isn't too sweet for me, it is just right. I will purchase again.

The scent was a bit too sweet for me. I love the aftershave itself, but I think that next time I'm going to go for the pure sandalwood. This one reminds me too much of the smell of cookies in the kitchen. Great smell - just not sure I want it as an aftershave.

This is very warm and vanilla-ey (just like the soaps) with the woodiness acting to deepen the vanilla, rather than vice versa. Homogenous (in other words, it doesn't need shaking, unlike some) and bottled in a nice reducer bottle (you get the right amount in your palm — again, unlike others.) A nice gentle antiseptic alcohol burn at first, and then that gorgeous scent. Lasts a long time, unlike many aftershaves. In fact, if I use this in the morning, I'm guaranteed to get a "mmm, you smell nice" from my ladylove whenever I see her (even if it's after both our work shifts.) Works well with my sandalwood EDTs, and gourmand/oriental fragrances. Highly recommended!

Nice scent, great feel even as a splash. My wife likes the scent and that is A-OK for me.
