This is my least liked scent so far. It is wayyyy too clove-forward, it's overpowering and all I smell.

I have ordered from Sterling many times; the products are everything they claim them to be and the shipping is always rapid and secure. Every experience has been a joy.

Its good, but ive had better bay rums. Wish the scent stuck around after you rinse off. Like other brands.

All I smell is clove... Nothing else.

This one is the strongest and longest lasting I’ve ever had from Stirling! Sticks with you all day! Reminds me I’m in one of the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies and Captain Jack Sparrow has just swung across the ship on a rope and I jump into a rum barrel to hide from Davey Jones’ goons as they’re swinging their swords and shooting their cannons. Another go to I bring on the road with me!

I figured based on essential oils and fragrances that I know I like, Bay Rum would be a winner. Heavy on clove, which I like and this may sound like a weird way to describe it but I pick up on bubble gum when I'm showering with it. That may sound off putting, but it's bubblegum in the best way. A warm nostalgic Bazooka Joe kind of way.

The beat soap brand!

I was reading some hipster blog, where the guy said that Bay Rum was an OLD MAN's scent. What do you know? It's a great scent! And yes, I'm a (grumpy) OLD MAN. Grow up.

Fantastic scent, but it took several days of leaving in the garage before it had lost enough potency for me to be able to keep it in a small bathroom. Soap lathers well and is a great buy compared to grocery store brands.

I love bay rum! To me it smells like a winter spice cabinet. The essential oils in this soap give my bathroom a wonderful spicy winter aroma. Can’t get enough of it!

The fine folks at Stirling included a sample of Bay Rum soap in one of my orders. My wife and I both fell for the scent. I ordered bath soap, shaving soap, splash and post shave balm and have absolutely enjoyed everything in this line. I just used the whole line up before going out to lunch today. Maaahvalous.

This soap is great for lathering up and smelling great.

I just finished (sadly) my Bay Rum bath soap. I absolutely love this scent. The bar before this was Satsuma which was also great. Being a cheap/frugal consumer, when my Satsuma got too small to handle, I just fused it to the Bay Rum. I have to say that when you combine Bay Rum with Satsuma it is a scent for the ages! That would be a great one to add to the lineup.

Smells like medicine to me and not pleasant at all.

I’ve got bay rum soap bars from other companies and wasn’t a big fan. I tried Stirlings and WOW!!! This is one I highly recommended scent is phenomenal and skin is smooth. Will definitely get this one again

Long lasting

I’ve bath soaps for over a year and will continue to buy more.

feels sortof muted for the scent it's supposed to be, but it could just be me. overall quite satisfied with my purchase, most of these were great.

I bought like 20 bars of soap from Stirling, picking out random scents that were interesting or sounded good. Wasn't sure what to make of Bay Rum, but the cloves, pepper, orange, and other smells I can't describe were strangely addicting. I never thought much of showers, but I was looking forward to showering and smelling this.

The smell is nice and strong in the shower, but doesn't really stick to your skin long, which I prefer. I like smelling neutral outside of the shower.

This is my second bar of Bay Rum bath soap. Leathers easily, skin feels great afterwards.

Smell good but not try it yet

I was skeptical of the smell while the soap was in it's container, but I really liked the smell of it after I used it. I'm not sure if it was the combination of the scent with my body oils or what, but I loved it after I used it the first time.

If you want a nice Bay Rum scent, go for Dr. Squatch or Sudsy Bear. This one smells strongly of pepper and clove. A bad clove, too.

Wonderful smelling soap that fills my shower with a nice aroma and sticks around even after getting out of the shower.

Totally love the smell. I love the "spicey" smell. Lasts long and overall just a damn good scent. Can't go wrong with stirling. I'm a new buyer and this is my bar of choice outta the 4and I'll be sticking with the brand for a while. So far I can't find any better regarding smell, feeling, price and shipping.

This is an excellent soap. Lathers well, rinses off easy and isn't drying. This scent is fun and I love it. To quote my roommate. "Omg this hippie soap you ordered is absolutely amazing".

The scent isn't really suited to a bath soap. It very much smells like washing with a shave soap.

I am a huge fan of Rum so naturally I had to go with this one. The scent is incredible, hints of cinnamon and all the other stuff but it is not too sweet. I plan to use it all year round. Lathers easily and washes off with no residue on the skin. I complemented the soap with the Bay Rum - Eau De Toilette, very good stuff makes me smell great and feel great.

This is pretty good stuff. Reminded me a lot of the rubbing alcohol produced in the Caribbean (which I believe used the same or similar ingredients), which my relatives or friends bought sometimes. This soap makes good lather, leaves you feeling refreshed, and it smells great while you are taking a shower, even some time afterwards. It does have a really strong scent, which tends to lingers a bit in the bathroom, some people might like this, others like my wife, not so much. But overall, if you like a masculine and strong spicy scent, this is for you.
